Description for Pontiac Firebird 1967
'67 Firebird 400 4 speed manual, osi rear, eluxe interior. Car is fully drivable and weekend car show ready. It is the original paint COLOR and interior color. Car has never been fully restored but had a lot done to it 14 years ago. 25,000 miles have gone on it since. Garaged since '77 for sure. That is when the owner's husband purchased it. It has been a weekend driver ever since. Car is ready to drive or is a great candidate for a complete resto!Body: Is really nice and paint shines. Looks great! Paint is about 15 years old. If bad body work or rust was going to pop it should have by now. Chrome is not all well. Bumpers are nice but some trim needs a good clean and polish or replacement. Vent windows are working but the chrome and rubber are gone. Some soft seals have been replaced. Trunk has some surface rust. I believe from the rubber mat that was in there. None of the rust is through. No metal needs replacement. Only real rust issue I see is the passenger inner fender. Probably from a bad battery at some point.
Engine: 400 rebuilt in '01. Runs well and cranks right up. Has Hooker ceramic headers, olley carb, SD ignition. Internals, don't know much about. Has true duels with Flowmaster mufflers. Does have an exhaust leak at the collectors. Has a big BeCool radiator.
Trans: 4 speed manual with a Hurst shifter. Had clutch replaced and trans gone through same time as the engine. Shifts nice!
Top/Interior: Interior is a good driver condition. It has optional deluxe interior. Console is rough. At some point a hole was cut in the side next to the shifter and then covered with a piece of vinyl (as shown in picture). Has aftermarket seat belts at all four seats. Had a tilt column added in '01. Carpet has some spots but a good steam clean would do it good. Front and rear door panels are good. Top is in good shape. Power top and frame all work good. Top looks good on the outside with a clear rear window.
Rear quarter windows will not go all the way down. I'm not going to force them!
Suspension: Seems loose. Steering could use some work. Has CCP front disc swap with booster and master cylinder.

Checked on the motor being original, here is only a date stamp to sa, rom what I have read the date needs to be within 3 months of the cars build date. Date on the engine is D247= April 24 1967. Cars build date is the 3rd week of May (05C). I believe it to be the original to the car. WZ is the engine code which is a 325 hp 4 barrel with manual trans. PHS documents will go with it.
