Fuzzy Dice AutosHas up for auction a very special and extremely rare 1940 Pontiac DeLuxe in amazing almost survivor condition. What you see is a rare vehicle that was repainted in the 70's. The rest of the vehicle is original and unmolested. The still has a nice luster even after almost fifty years. There are a few small cosmetic chips and scratches that are only detectable close up. The chrome is in amazing original condition, s are the wheel covers and wide whites. All the glass is in tact and the cranks turn them up and down with ease. The under carriage is rust and damage free. The frame and floor pans are solid.The interior appears to be completely original to the car or at least period correct. The head liner is excellent and so are all four door panels. The original dash is excellent and all in tact. The gas gauge is touchy. Sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The original radio does not come on. Everything else works to perfection.According the long time owner, he 69,000 miles recorded on the odometer is true and correct.The straight six, 22 CID 100 horse power motor is also original to the car. The engine runs strong and quiet. No blow back or leaks of any kind.
