'71 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Original 400ci WT engine & 4speedThese high powered Formula 400s have basically vanished and are in the hands of collectors all over the world. This toned down version of the TransAm appeals to many for just that reason.... The toned down look! No flashy Chicken on the hood, tc... it has a nice clean look with all of the "show & go" neatly tucked under the hood... This 1971 Firebird Formula 400 has been restored to "like new" condition after a full restoration. This recent restoration includes a fresh repaint in Lucerne Blue over a 100% rust free, in straight ORIGINAL body panels, heet metal, runk and floor pans and factory undercoating. Rear bumper is original and has been re-chromed. All Chrome and trim are also like new. The front Enduro bumper lines up better than most and has no cracks or spider lines. The original 400ci WT engine and original Rochester 4barrel carburetor has been completely rebuilt and runs perfectly. According to PHS documentation, he manual transmission on the floor came from the factory as a 3speed, rare option but not as desirable as a 4speed. The previous owner has since upgraded the transmission to a true Hurst M-20 4speed that shifts perfectly. The bucket seats and center console were factory ordered on this car as it is today. The car starts, uns and drives perfectly. The engine bay and entire undercarriage has been beautifully detailed. Theinterior is absolutely immaculate and all features work as they should. Factory equipped with black bucket seats and center console are as good as new. Features include power steering, ower brakes, orking factory AM radio, ally Gauge Package and more. Gauges are clear and work properly. Seats and dash are crack and tare free and like new. The car sits on 15" BF Goodrich radials and Pontiac Honey Comb rims. Documentation is complete with original warranty information. Sold new on April 14, 971 makes this car one of the last to come off the assembly line as a 1971 model year car. Sold by BALCH Pontiac-Buick of Warehouse Point Connecticut to Mr. John B. Fxxxx of Somers CT. Other docs included the original owners manual, opy of the original window sticker and PHS documentation.
