Up ForAuction Is our beautiful 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible . We've Had This Car Since Labor Day of 1996,19 Years Now. It Was As Beautiful Then As You See It Now . It Had The Original Mayfair Maze "Yellow" Lacquer Paint On It When We First Bought It. The Shine Would Be Gone In A Months Time. In 1999 We Had Our Local Chevrolet Dealership Take The Car Completely Apart And Strip And Repaint It Completely With Base Coat/Clear Coat In The Original Color And Its Still As Beautiful Now As It Was The Day We Left With It. I've Washed It By Hand Now 7 Times Since 1999. I HaveOver A Hundred Photos Taken During The Strip & Repaint To See If There Was Any Bondo That Needed To Be Removed And The Only Place there Was Any Was In The Rear Valance Where It Looked Like Someone Had Backed Into Something.The Car Still Has Its Original Engine ( Numbers Matching) In It And Was Rebuilt Just Before We Bought It. It Still Has Its Original 4bbl Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor On It With An Edlebrock Aluminum Manifold Along With Headers To A Dual Exhaust System. The Headers Had To Be Installed To Clear The Gear Vender Overdrive. It Has355 Gears In The Rear End And With The Overdrive On It It Gets Right At 20 MPG On The Highway. I Still Have The Original Intake Manifold, oth Original Exhaust Manifold, riginal Ring & Pinnion Gear Set, nd Original Drive Line For The Car Plus Many Other Parts That Go With It. The Car Originally Had A Parchment (White Pearll) Interior And We Changed Out To The Black Interior It Now Has In It. Rally Wheels & Goodyear Poly Glass (NON Radial) Tires Were Installed On It When It Was Repainted And Are Still In Excellent Condition Now. Also All New Badges Were Installed At That Time As Well.You Can See There's A Real Spare Rally Wheel & Tire So Not To Use The Factory Spare Blow-Up Tire With Original Spare TireCompressed Air Can Never Used. This Car Has Power Windows, ower Steering, ower Brake, Disc On Front, ower Top. All The Glass In The Car Are Original .I Have A Book Of All The Original Documentation That Came With The Car. The Car Was Purchased New At Haskell Pontiac At Figuroa & Pico In Downtown LA Californi, t Was A Black Tag Car When We Bought It And Still Has The Black Tag On The Front Today. Everything Works On The Car As It Should Except The Heater/AC Controller Cables Stick A Little . I Have Also Replaced The Worn Arrow Front Bumper Badge That Looks Bad In The Photo Of The Front Bumper Since I Took These Photos. This Is One Fine Fun Driving Antique Car !! This Car Has Always Been Maintained And Has Never Needed To Be Restored . I Have Nearly Every Ticket Spent On This Car Since It Was New. This Car Gets A Lot Of Lookers Everywhere We Go In It.
