Description for Pontiac Fiero 1986
OVER $5000 IN PARTS
This vehicle was the first car I ever purchased new. About 6 years ago I decided to start a restoration project on it. The car had not been driven in over 15 years. The engine started right up and was running well but I wanted a total restoration.I found amechanic that would take this project on and work on itduring slow periods at the shop. Since I was working out of state and in no hurry for this project to be completed it was fine by me. During this time, number of items have been repaired/upgraded. To name a few; Brake system including new brake lines, new calipers, new pads, new rotors and all hardware. New exhaust system including new exhaust manifold, new muffler, new tail pipes, new tail pipe ends, new hangers and new catalytic converter replacement pipe. New motor mounts, new struts, new strut mounts, new timing chain, new valves, njectors, park plugs, elts and hoses, nbsp;new valve cover, new intake manifold, new front engine cradle, new rear engine cradle, new dog bone mount, new high performance clutch, new T/O bearing and clutch cable, new filters, new ac compressor, new AC compressor, new water pump, new water pump and alternator belt, new (valves complete), new wheel bearings, new wheel bearing kits new weather stripping, new window seals, new ignition wires, new emergency brake cable, new fuel injector, new head lights, new hoses, new high performance air filter, new AC accumulator (not installed yet), new seals, new heater core, new tiresand much more that I cannot recall at this time. There are various trim pieces and dash that have not been installed but are in the car. The windshield was damaged while in the shop. Now the dilemma. This car was not too far from being on the road again. Perhaps afew goodmonths, ood paint job and interior cleaning. Unfortunately, nbsp;the mechanic was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to put it back together before his passing. The car was left in the shop with no oneleft to reassemble it. I was able to put the engine cradle back under the car andget it onto a trailer. I am selling this because I am not a mechanicand with three in college I cannotafford to continue with the restoration. This is a great project car because a lot of the work has already been done. Although the photos do not show the trunk lid, t is intact with the largespoiler (which cost over $500) and is included in this auction.
