Description for Pontiac GTO 1967
Up for bid is my 67 GTO convertible with all of the hard work complete. PHS documented original. Car had never been apart when I bought it. I replaced the frame. all body bushings. all brake lines. all suspension bushings. all tie rods. ball joints. fuel tank. nbsp;all brake system components etc. I also have totally rebuilt original engine from top to bottom. All machine work was done by a very good local machine shop and it is done right. I installed a slightly larger cam to give the nice sound and decreased the compression slightly to allow it to run on pump gas. the crank is standard. bored . 030. nbsp; all new stainless valves. I have several pics of the rebuild. I intended to keep this car for myself so I did not take short cuts on engine. I added a pertronix ignition to do away with points. new starter. alternator. water pump. belts. hoses. radiator has new core installed. I have the original carb and it was rebuilt by carb junkies in Atlanta Ga. but I installed a new Holley. Both carbs go with car. I sandblasted and repainted a set of rally II wheels and installed new lug nuts. New Mastercraft tires with ZERO miles on them are installed. I'm sure there are tons of other new items that I forgot to mention but you can see tons of work and expense is already done. The body needs lower front fender patch panels. rocker panels completed (I have tacked in new rockers). nbsp;repair on lower windshield frame (I have new windshield) and a couple of patches on trunk pan. Pan does not need replaced. I have included pictures of when I bought it and some in the current condition so you can see the transformation. If you have any questions or need more pictures. just ask. I have lots of pics. I just can't find time to work on it and I want to see it finished and driven like it should be. Unbelievable amount of time and money spent on this car. I would possibly be interested in a complete convertible trade. I have a nice car hauler I would sell if you wanted to drive in and haul it home. I will work with buyer any way I can to help get it shipped.
