Description for Pontiac Firebird 1975
1975 Pontiac Firebird (NO SMOG) with fresh 468 (454 - 60 over) I do not know too much about the internals of the engine. I received it when I purchase another vehicle. I was told it was between 450-500 HP. Took heads off and had them checked. They were good so I put them back on. Put all new gaskets throughout motor including front and rear seals. new intake. carb. hei ignition. and oil pump. alternator. water pump and NOS valve covers that I had polished. Aluminum Radiator. Long tube headers. New Turbo 400 Trans. Posi Rear End with 411 gears and leaf spring stiffeners. Runs and drives fine. Very Loud. B and M Ratchet Shifter. All new suspension components in the front. Power Steering is not hooked up but I do have a power steering pump that will go along with the car. Car Itself is in excellent shape. Zero rust. Interior is in decent shape with new carpet. seat covers and I had the original dash pad recovered. Heater was removed from car. Switches are now located where the heater panel used to be (still have the switch panel). I do have a hood for the car that has been cut for a cowl hood insert (I just have not completed it). Also have the hood hinges Bought car to put this motor in. Now that it is nearly finished I have lost the drive to finish (to many other projects) plus my wife hates how loud it is. So it has to go. What it needs: Headliner (fabric only) cardboard is there in good shape. rear deck fabric (behind rear seats). E Brake hooked up. And someone who knows how to adjust and time a stout big block correctly. I can get it running but am not too familiar with a big block and do not want to mess with it. I would recommend a valve adjustment. timing. fuel and carb adjustment. Complete the hood and an ignition switch. All minor things that take up time. I am probably forgetting something else but nothing major. Trying to be as honest about the car as possible. Great car for someone to finish. Eventually I want to build a Pro Street but my dreams are for a late 30's Hudson Terraplane 2 door business coupe. not this car. Currently registered Non-Op with Pink in Hand.
