The PHS documents for this vehicle not only shows that this LeMans was ordered with the Gran Turismo Omologato "GTO" option package, t was also ordered with the 3-2bbl 389 cu.in. 360hp V8 tri-power engine along with the highly desirable 4-Speed manual transmission. That is why at Classic Cars Online, ur listings will go over and show every area of the vehicle that is up for auction. Body & Paint: The body on this vehicle is very solid and rust free. It is believed to still retain all its original body panels and floor/trunk pans. The body panels fit is very good, ut not perfect. (They weren't perfect when new.) It was repainted in its correct factory red color per the PHS documents and cowl trim tag. The paint code is: "R-R" which is "Montero Red". The paint is a base coat/clear coat type that shows very well. It has a deep shine with no orange peel. Looking down the sides of the vehicle, ou will see that the vehicle is very straight without any waves, ents, r dings. Not even a chip or nick. Very nice! The front grille section of the vehicle is very nice without any road rash, hips or nicks. The vehicle is equipped with the original looking "T3" headlights. It also has all new weather stripping throughout the car. Chrome & Trim: The chrome bumpers look great. Both front and rear bumpers are very shiny, traight, nd have no pits or dulling areas. The rest of the chrome trim is also in excellent condition including the pot metal pieces that do not show any pitting. All of the stainless steel trim pieces have been straightened then buffed and look great. All of the emblems are new and in perfect condition. Interior: The body tag "Trim" code reads "213" which is for a black interior. The black embossed vinyl bucket seat interior of the car was totally redone with the correct materials. There are no rips, ears, urns, r wear on the seats. The correct colored headliner is new. All knobs and dash trim pieces are new or look new. There is a new steering wheel that matches the wood dash insert. All interior controls, auges, orns, ipers, nd lights are working except for the tachometer. The tach is new but not hooked up because of the MSD electronic ignition. During the restoration, he entire vehicle received new wiring harnesses. There is a factory looking AM/FM stereo radio with an ipod input. The black carpet is new. The vehicle was ordered with the factory center console along with the factory 4-Speed manual transmission. The console is in excellent condition. The interior is completely detailed including the GTO floor mats. (The factory rubber floor mats also go along with the sale.) Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is fully detailed. The vehicle originally came from the factory with the optional 389 Tri-Power engine. (Engine code WS: See PHS documents.) It also came with the optional 4-Speed Manual synchromesh transmission with floor shifter. According to the date code on the block, he engine compartment is now housing a 1966 389cu.in. with a Tri-Power setup. Both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt with very little miles on them. (Please see the "Mechanical" section below for more details.) For the most part, he engine compartment looks very close to stock. Trunk Compartment: The trunk pans are original. Trunk was stripped and repainted with the Pontiac splatter paint and sealed with a clear coat for protection. It has new trunk mats. The matching red-line spare tire is mounted on a new 6 hole rim which is the same as the other four rims on the vehicle. The trunk also has the correct fully operational jack and jacking tools that have been restored with the correct finishes. Currently, new cardboard trunk divider is not installed. The owner has it and it will go along with the sale of the vehicle. Glass: The date coded side window glass pieces are original. The rear window and front windshield have been replaced. There are no chips, icks or scratches in any of the glass pieces. All the side windows are working properly. Wheels & Tires: The wheels have been updated with new 15" factory looking 6 hole rims. The 15" wheels look better on these vehicles. The rims, enter caps, rim rings and lug nuts are all in great shape with no scratches. Mounted on these new wheels are new Firestone F70-15 redline tires. (The spare tire also matches.) The redline tires look great with the color of the car. Undercarriage: The frame and undercarriage are rust free with no apparent damage. It is detailed and clean. As stated earlier, hese are the original floor pans and trunk pans. The undercarriage has been detailed with the correct semi-gloss. It has all new stainless steel brake, uel lines and fuel tank. Nine times out of ten, eople selling a car would not talk about or take any photos of the underside. The undercarriage tells you a lot about the car, hat is why there are a few pictures of the bottom in the photo gallery. Please view them all and see why this vehicle is better then most. Mechanical: Engine / Transmission / Rear End: This 389cu. in. has been recently rebuilt .030 over. It is equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads. MSD ignition. It runs and sounds great. Very strong. The vehicle comes with the receipts and all the specs on the engine rebuild. The tri-power setup has been rebuilt and is adjust for peak performance. The 4-speed manual transmission was rebuilt and it shifts smooth and easy. The 3.55 Posi rear end has a new ring and pinion gear set. Brakes: The original brake system received all new components including stainless lines. The brakes are working great. There is no pulsating, ading, ulling or noise. Suspension: The suspension has also been gone over and is all new. The tie rods, tabilizer links, all joints, hocks, tc. were all changed. The front end is tight and stable. No vibration. The vehicle sits great and drives even better. Exhaust: It has Doug's Headers that feed into the new Flowmaster dual exhaust system which sounds strong without being overbearing. The dual exhaust exits in the rear via the factory looking GTO "Splitters" tips. Reserve Price: Please don't ask what the "Reserve Price" is, r if we have a "Buy it Now" price.
