Description for Pontiac Fiero 1988

This 1988 Pontiac Fiero Mera is for sale in Dallas Texas. The Mera was an Option availible on Fiero GTs in 1987 and 1988 built by Corporate Concepts in Michigan before Ferrari forced them out of business . 247 Meras were built over this time and this is Mera #8082 (The 82nd built in 1988).
Options include; A/C, M/FM radio, ruise control, ower brakes, ilt wheel, loth interior, nd Cromadora/alloy wheels.
The 1988 Mera Fiero utilized the 1988 Formula chassis. About 159 were made on the Formula chassis, ringing the total MERAs produced to 247. A big change for the 1988 MERA was the addition of Lotus designed suspension and the replica aluminum rims specially cast by Cromadora of Italy, ho at one time cast rims for Ferarri. The MERA was sold through Pontiac dealers only as a new car. No kits were ever sold, nd only new Fieros were used for the conversions. The MERA was not endorsed by GM but was a Pontiac dealer option similar to that of ordering a conversion van. 1988 MERAs sold for (depending on options -- MERA and Pontiac) for about $24,000 to $28,000. At the time this price range was not much less than a Corvette.

Getting a lot of emails about the car. Most asking about conditions and any mechanical issues. The car is in great shape for a 1988 but does have a few issues, ut nothing that keeps it from running and driving.
The A/C works but doesn't blow very cold
The heater core needs to be replaced but is bypassed now.
There is a small exhaust manifold leak (common on fiero)
The speakers in the seat headrest are not working
Why am I selling? I just turned 50 and had cancer treatment so I have some unexpected medical bills. However, am not desperate to sell.
Will I trade? No
