Description for Pontiac Catalina 1969
1969 Pontiac Catalina. The car runs and drives great with a 2 barrel 400 and TH400 trans. I put a set of lifters in right after I bought the car as it had the classic pontiac collapsed lifter from sitting for several years. I also replaced the master cylinder and the brakes work real good. They are power 4 wheel drum brakes. The car sat for over 15 years in an old ladies garage before I bought it. I have owned the car for over 12 years and drove it quite a bit but the past few years it has done more sitting then driving. The interior is in pretty good shape with the dash having some cracks. The front seat was recovered with what appears to be school bus seat material and it has begun to split. Door panels. carpet. headliner. etc. are in great shape. The only major issue is the heater core leaks and I have it by passed at the moment. There is virtually no rust. There is just a small spot on the rear quarter that is pictured up close. That spot was curled inward from what I guess was a blown tire. Every other part on the car is rock solid. The nose of the car is the only other are that will need to be replaced or repaired in some way. These nose pieces were always problematic but I have found a fiberglass replacement is available. The car is a paint job and a good detail away from being a real fun unique car that still has lots of style and good looks. The car does need a set of tires as the ones on it are down to the wear bars. The car gets started regularly and moved around and starts right up every time. Please ask any questions you may have. Reason for selling is I have several other projects and also some health issues with my wife. Thanks for checking it out. I would love to keep the car but just need to move a couple projects along to someone else to enjoy. I will help in anyway I can with shipping or possibly meeting for delivery. NOTE:$500 dollar deposit via paypal required immidiately after buying and remainder can be paid through paypal or cash in person. NOTE: This is going to be the last time I list the car. I have some plans for it if it doesn't sell this time. I have a limited slip 3. 08 rear that will go in it along with dual exhaust. I am a body man by trade so painting it isn't and issue. I have lots of extra paint to shoot it with. Just would really like to spend the time on one of my other projects or my kids cars. I have been driving the car around town and it starts right up even on the cold mornings. Thanks
