Description for Pontiac Trans Am 1979
This is not your Mom's old Trans-Am "used car". This car started out as a complete unmolested South Carolina car with the original numbers matching Olds 403, utomatic trans., nd T-Tops. The car was absolutely free of any rust holes, nd it was complete and dent free, nd with all the original sheet metal and spoilers. Even the trunk and floor pans are original! All 100%!! The car even had the original paint and decals, s faded as they were. The radiator, as tank and carb were all removed to ready it for crushing. We replaced the missing parts with original 1979 Trans-Am parts to maintain originality. An aluminum intake, eaders and A/C compressor delete are the only changes, nd all the original parts are in the trunk. The engine has been rebuilt to factory specifications and the transmission has also been rebuilt. The car came with "Rally 2" wheels (Which were special ordered for this car) and not the "Snowflake" like most came with. Some of the pics have older wheels from a late model Monte Carlo, ut we put the originals back on.
When we got the car home I opened the glove box to find every single piece of paper regarding the car. The original window sticker, loaded with options...this car was a special order by the original owner and delivered to Conway, C.) dealer write up, rade in appraisal, nd inspection stickers for every year while in operation were all there. In the trunk was the original NEW "space saver" tire and can of air! And yes...we even found the build sheet under the seat. Unbelievable!!!
My wife had actually done all the prep work herself on this car except rebuilding the motor and the spraying of the paint. We run a small restoration shop and she does any and all the prep for most of our projects. She blasted the engine compartment and detailed it completely while I had the motor out. She got the body sanded and ready to spray and I shot it. The car is finished in Toyota Speedway Blue. (Original color was Atlantis Blue) We painted the bird on in white, lack and silver. No other stripes or logos are going back, ust the big "Trans-Am" bird. New front interior seat covers, ash cover, nd carpet were installed. (Rear seats, onsole, nd door panels are original and re-dyed). The only thing missing are the front signal light black covers and radio. A/C is disconnected but probably could be made to work. Heater does work. All lights and gauges work including the "Tick-Tock Tach"
Reserve is less than the price on the windshield on some of the pics and more than a fair price for a car of this caliber. This is the last of the Big Block Trans-Am's and Pontiac is gone making these more and more collectible as each day goes by.
Please, o tire kickers, his car is for real and not just some "used car". You wont find many that started as good as this one, or many will compare to the completed car. Must be seen to appreciate. Still a driver, ut a head turner too.
All scams will be reported, o don't even go there!
Thanks for checking it out and come on and get you some!
The pics are how we got it, he paperwork, ome of the progress along the way and now as it is complete and in the shop.
And thanks, ut no thanks regarding any "help" selling.
