This auction is for a beautifully done American Muscle car, one that can back up it's mildly resto-mod restoration with a big bite from it's new 400 Pontiac engine (under 2000 miles)! This car only has 44,084 miles. It's been adult-owned by us for the last 9 years, and very well taken care of. We are non-smokers, and the car has not been smoked in since we've owned it anyway. It is turnkey, and has been extremely dependable. We've been made fun of by our friends for washing and waxing it too much.... Can't help it, it is just a stunning head turner, and we like to keep it looking awesome! Well, here are the details on the car:
The engine is a new 400 with under 2000 miles on it. We replaced the 350 that came with it, because this is more Pontiac correct, and let's face it, much more fun! It has electric cooling fans, bored 30 over, full comp race cam, roller cam lifters, and a 4 speed transmission. It has an Edelbrock high performance intake manifold with Hooker headers. It has Holley 750 double pumper carb. MSD ignition with chip. It has a SWEET sounding stainless Magnaflow exhaust. This car is real clean inside and out. It has a Grant steering wheel, roll bar and fire extinguisher. Even has the original tach. Interior is the nicest you'll see on a Firebird! It has new 17" American Racing mags and four new Federal tires. The rear tires are 255/50/R17 and the fronts are 215/50/R17s. The undercarriage is just as pretty as the rest of the car. She comes with two hoods-1 red formula hood with non-functional scoops, (this hood came on the car when we bought it, but was replaced with the custom black hood when the engine upgrade was made. The red hood would no longer fit on the car due to the larger intake manifold on the new high performance engine. The custom black hood has working formula scoops and non-functional custom trans am scoop. This car must be seen and definitely driven to appreciate the true American muscle! The car has been restored with a tasteful customized appearance. She has placed first in class, and is an absolute head turner. We receive many thumbs up wherever we drive it. This second generation body style is hard to find, and this is a gorgeous example.
