Description for Pontiac Silverstreak 8 1950

Up for sale is this great 1950 Pontiac Silverstreak. This car is 85% complete, Still needs a few things to be a complete restored car. As you can see from the pictures the paint and bodywork has been completed and this car is as straight as an arrow. The engine has been rebuilt, all new breaks and wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, all wiring has been gone through and lights, tail lights, and gages are working. The dash has been painted as well as the door trim. Seats are original seats and have been reupholstered. I have the carpet kit for this car as well. Tires are coker 4" white walls with stock 15" steel wheels with original Pontiac hubcaps. Also from the pictures you can see that even the chief on the hood lights up and is original hood emblem from the factory very rare that you see these still operating on these cars. Car is still all stock and original 6 Volt system. I had the suspension lowered on this car so it is not stock ride height. I also have all the chrome for this car and new Front windshield and gasket ($600) alone. Also rear window is in great shape no cracks.

Ok now what is wrong with the car or needs completed. The car has been sitting for 2 years in my garage untouched. I had a battery tender hooked up to it so the battery would keep good. Car started right up after all that time but I'm thinking that the carburetor may need a rebuild kit on it as the car started up but will die if you try to put the air cleaner back on it I'm thinking the old gas may have gummed up the carburetor. But engines still runs fine. Also all the break system has been gone through but there is a small leak in one of the break lines that caused the master cylinder to run dry. I would recommend putting new break lines on the car as I stated all the rest of the break system is new. The car still needs door glass, door panels, and head liner to complete the interior. Since car has been sitting I would drain the gas tank out and change fuel filter. Gages in the car work except fuel (needs new sending unit) and speedometer needs new cable. Other than that the car has been driven to local car shows and other than rebuilding the carb and fixing brake line leak the car will drive anywhere. I have over 4000 just in paint bodywork, front windshield, and tires so this car is priced to sell.

I also have a video of the car running as of today if your a serious buyer I will send it to you. This car is sold as is where is and buyer is responsible for transporting car. Local pick up is also available. At the end of this auction there will be a 250 dollar deposit due immediately. Rest in cashier check or money order.I have a bunch of extra parts and pieces to this car that I will ship with the car. I have done the best I can do to describe this car, if you think of any other questions I would gladly answer them for you. This is a great car and has great potential. Thank you for looking.

Also keep in mind that this car is lowered and will need the transporter to be able to accommodate a lower profile car to load on their trailer.
