Reluctantly I’m auctioning off one of my cars from my collection. Currently I have 13 cars and five of them are Fiero’s. To be honest the sale is not a financial decision but I just don’t have room for any more cars. I have my eye on another car or two but can’t pull the trigger until I thin down my inventory. I’m not in the car business. I just have a passion for vehicles from my younger days.

I purchased this car about a year ago. Didn’t need it but it was such a nice example I couldn’t pass it up. Car has obviously been garage kept and only used for cruising on nice days and going to car shows. Car is stored in my climate controlled shop under cover. I’ve driven it sparingly and it only goes outside when being driven.

I won’t go into a big monologue about how the 1988 GT is the most highly sought after out of the 1984-1988 production. I’m assuming if your reading this you likely know why the 88’ is the year to own. If not, I suggest you do a little research. The one year suspension changes really make the car a joy to drive. Coupled with the 5-speed it’s a blast.

As you can see from the pictures the car has been well kept. I have two 88 Fieros with less than 9K miles each and this car needs no excuses when parked next to them side by side. Under the front hood you can see everything is clean as a whistle and literally looks like it just rolled off the lot. Sunroof storage bag and shade are there. A spare tire cover added by the previous owner is the only thing that sets it apart from the way it looked in 88’. You’d be proud to open it up at any car show.

The engine compartment is as equally clean. I few aesthetic modifications to really make it pop. It definitely puts the engine bays of my other Fiero’s to shame. A few of the items you will notice are the chrome air cleaner and misc other shiny bits. A very unique intake. I have never seen another that is engraved with “Fiero GT”. Every other one I have seen only says “Fiero”. I’m sure someone out there knows but I have never run across another one. Powdercoated strut bar with matching dog bone. Once again, another item I have not run across on another Fiero. Someone did a very nice job adding mirror to the underside of the lid. It really shows nice when you pop the hatch at a car show. You will likely never see another Fiero engine compartment as nice as this.

As far as I can tell the engine is stock and unmolested. Car runs perfect. New belts, fresh fluids, and all other service items are up to date. AC blows ice cold. Five speed transmission shifts as new and clutch works just like every other Fiero I own. Trunk carpet is fresh and clean. No stains or odors. Doesn’t look like anything has been in it. It’s safe to say the car needs nothing!

Paint is in excellent condition. Clean Carfax and I don’t see any evidence of paint work. All VIN tags are in place. As you can see paint shines extremely well for a car 28 years old. No clear coat issues or sun fade at all. The only flaws I can find in the paint are on the nose from the license plate holder. It was on the car when I purchased it. I removed it but it did leave marks from being on the car. The holder will be included with the sale along with a bra I received with it although I have never had it on the car. I few light blemishes on the front from bugs or road debris but you have to look really close. I’m just being super picky but the 28 year old paint looks better than the front of the minivan you bought last year. Only other place I can find is some very minimal scuffs on the drivers door sill that you would expect from getting in and out of a car with this stance. Once again, just being super critical. The paint is in amazing condition for its age and car show ready.

Interior is equally as nice. Only a couple things different than the way it left the assembly line. Floor mats are a very high quality aftermarket mat. The originals did not come with the car when I bought it. The cassette radio has been upgraded to a later Pontiac premium CD player. Only other thing I see is the emblems by the door locks are colored in. They look fantastic but I’m guessing they are not original. Everything else appears completely stock. Shift knob in excellent condition. Seat look basically new. Driver side has a very very slight wear spot from getting in and out but only to the color, not the material itself. I’m sure it could be made to look new. Once again, you probably wouldn’t notice but being super critical. Headliner shows well. A little loose in a few spots as they all are at this age but no sag and shows well. All the dash and console are excellent. If you have spent any time around Fiero’s you know these parts started warping and going to hell before getting off the lot new. This car shows very little signs of aging. All gauges work as they should. Wipers, lights, etc all function as they should. No excuses. Interior is very nice and like I said before, car show ready.

Tires appear to have very little wear. Deep tread and no dry rotting. Appear to be correct Goodyear Eagle tires that would have come on the car as new. Rim are in excellent shape. None of the oxidation you see on many this age. No curb rash. You won’t find a nicer set of stock 88 rims.

I would put this car up against any collector quality car from the 80’s. It really is a nice piece of history. I like the fact that it has enough miles on it you don’t feel bad about driving it but still is basically as new. A great weekend driver.

As you can see from my feedback I take all my eBay business very seriously. Over 700 transactions and never a negative feedback. I pride myself on being very honest and transparent on anything I sell. If anything I’d rather be over critical. The last car I sold, when the new owner took delivery he said “he knew it was nice but had no idea it would be this nice”. Once again, anything I mention is being very critical of a really nice car. As any car I sell if you show up and feel like the car has been misrepresented I’ll refund your deposit and you can be on your way. I’m setting a very reasonable reserve to protect myself but I’d be surprised if the bidding did not easily surpass it.

Please have funds ready. I will require a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment will be due within 7 days. I will work with you to make the car available for you to pick up or a shipper that you have lined up. I have shipped a lot of cars with Montway and they are very reasonable and never had a bad experience but that’s your call. Clear title in hand. Payment must clear bank before car will be released. I’m 45 years old and love maintaining and enjoying classic rides from my past. I hope the car goes to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.

Sure I’m forgetting a few things but just ask if you have any questions. Good luck. Someone is going to very proud to own this piece of history.
