Description for Pontiac Fiero 1986
This is a GREAT Midwestern car. NO RUST. body and chassis are in EXCELENT shape!! New Paint!! GT Front and REAR Bumpers. BRAND NEW GM less than 50 miles on this engine and transmission. This is an LX9 3. 5L engine and transmission from an 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. Engine runs on a professionally programed 2005 Malibu GM ecu. That makes this engine and transmission very serviceable with readily available parts. Brand New Wheels and Tires and Recent brakes. Car Runs and Drives VERY WELL WITH AWSOME performance from this 240HP power plant. Speedometer currently has integration issues but can be fixed with installation of GPS interface. Can be done as part of sale. Interior is OK on this car. Dash is not cracked but the Heater/Console surround has the usual heat distortions that all Fieros get. Seats are in GREAT shape no rips or tears and no major staining. Headliner is out as it was in POOR shape. Gauges have been swapped to the Later GT style and has the 140MPH speedo. Door covers are good. power window motors are weak but do still work a typical Fiero issue. On Jan-12-15 at 14:14:37 PST. seller added the following information:CORRECTION Engine is from a 2005 PONTIAC G6 with a rated horsepower of 201 HP at the FLYWHEEL sorry for any misinformation. On Jan-13-15 at 18:36:18 PST. seller added the following information: Speedometer is a GT style that is 120 MPH not 140 MPH as stated above. The bumpers were purchased from an online resale company to replace the dried out ones that were on the car. NOT COMPLETLY sure of there origin however they have GM part numbers on them and resemble those found on other GTs I have seen. This car was a project that my son and I had started. he wanted something different. I wanted something reliable. FOLISH me. give a 20 year old an almost 30 year old sports car. SO HERE it is for sale! This car was for all intensive purposes a barn find 8 months ago. didn't run had a bad head gasket on a STOCK 4 cyl engine. it was old tired and needed tlc. So I put a lot of money and a ton of time into fabrication sorting axles. just an fyi its not an easy swap. there is WELL over 5000$ just in the parts and pieces to make the car roll down the road again. The reserve is just half of what I have in parts alone. Last time Im listing it on eBay. if it doesn't sell this time its coming down. Im going to finish it and then it will be back up with ALOT higher price. Buy it now. Buy it low. put the little bit of time and money it needs to be SUPER nice. On Jan-14-15 at 18:38:51 PST. seller added the following information: I am getting a lot of questions about the engine/trans ECU combo. First off it was VERY difficult to get the engine to run on a factory ECU. a Very HIGHLY skilled GM Factory trained ECU specialist was able to remap several of the VATs in the ECU so that it could run in standalone. Most if not all of these V6 swaps either run a 5 speed manual or stick with the factory auto trans which is a pig. This car runs the factory 4 speed O/D trans that comes in the G6. Which make it very nice to drive. It also has STANDARD CV axles not specialty made or cut and splice jobs. It was very time consuming to find the correct shafts! The Engine and Trans were a CRATE package straight from a GM dealer and was brand new never fired until it was put in this car. The reserve on this car is basically what I paid for that crate engine. Car is sold with a CLEAN TITLE and Bill Of Sale.
