I have owned other Formulas with under 10k miles – this one is right up there with the best of them. The car car needs nothing. The miles are original and the amount of care that has gone into it is second to none. You would be hard pressed to find this well sorted and preserved. Exterior: The red exterior paint on the car is original and holds a deep glossy shine. This car has always been garaged kept. The only additional paintwork to the car occurred last year when a new Fiberglass rear wing from Hawks was installed. The 80’s Firebird rear wings are notorious for cracking and falling apart. This is an expensive but much needed replacement many owners fail to do. The new wing was professionally painted to match the original red paint and it’s a great match. Interior: The interior is in tremendous original condition. The t-tops fit great with no leaks. Includes the GM T-top storage bag (attaches to the rear hatchspace). Interior has never been tampered with. No rips or tears in the cloth seats. All gauges. lights. blinkers. windows. radio. horn. etc. work as they should. New custom Firebird floor mats with red Firebird Logo (Firebird Central). Chassis: The underside of this car is outstanding with no rust issues ; amazing considering the car has never been undercoated. It’s as clean as they come. The rear differential was re-painted in a dark gray color. The exhaust on the car is correct factory stock. Mechanical: The 5. 0 liter engine starts easily and runs strong. The steering is precise and the brakes are excellent. The car tracks straight and true. 26+ mpg on the highway. Handling is fantastic and also a very comfortable car to drive long distances. The air conditioning was converted to R134 and blows ice cold. The headlight motors were replaced and work great. The engine and engine bay are in mint condition.
