Description for Pontiac Bonneville 1971

FIRST 8 PICS WERE TAKEN 11/27/16!
THIS IS A RUNNING AND DRIVING HEARSE THAT NEEDS TOTAL COSMETIC RESTORATION. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE 1998, BEEN OUTSIDE STORED AND USED YEAR AROUND EVER SINCE. PONTIAC GUY MY WHOLE LIFE AND THAT'S WHY I OWN IT.
455 4BRL, WAS A 2BRL W/POINTS, BUT REPLACED WITH A NUMBERS MATCHING 71 CARB/INTAKE, AND THEN ADDED HEI. 70,432 ORIGINAL MILES. TRANS IS FINE W/NO MAJOR LEAKS. ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT UP, CHOKE SETS AND WORKS.
THE SUSPENSION WAS REBUILT BACK IN 2004, WHICH INCLUDED NEW FRONT SRPINGS AND NEW REAR AIR SHOCKS. PROBABLY LESS THAN 2000 HAVE BEEN PUT ON THIS SINCE THEN. WHEELS ARE 15X6 FRONT AND 15X7 REAR RALLY WHEELS. TIRES ARE OLDER BUT IN VERY GOOD SHAPE!
A/C WORKS, AND I REPLACED THE EVAP AND RE-O-RINGED SYSTEM, STILL IS A SLIGHT LEAK THAT DRAINS A LITTLE OVER THE WINTER, I WILL TOP IT OFF AND IT WILL WORK THROUGH THE WARM WEATHER.
I ADDED THE BLACK BENCH SEAT OUT OF A 73 BONNEVILLE AND THE SPORT STEERING WHEEL FROM A 78 SJ GP. HAS A NEWER WORKING (LATE 70'S) DELCO AM/FM. I ADDED HE SIREN/MICROPHONE SETUP AND THAT WORKS. I ADDED A RALLY GAUGE CLUSTER BUT CAN'T GET THE TEMP GAUGE TO WORK. HAS THE FACTORY RUBBER MAT, NO TILT, CLEAN DASH, & F/R A/C. I HAVE NO CASKET STOPS FOR REAR AREA. THE REAR HEATER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED YEARS AGO.
THE BODY. IT NEEDS TOTAL RESTO. ROOF ABOVE WINDSHIELD IS GONE AND LEAKS, 1/4 NEED WORK, BOTTOM OF FENDERS NEED WORK (71-2 CATALINA ARE THE SAME), DOORS WILL NEED WORK IN SPOTS, FLOORS OVERALL ARE SOLID, THANKS TO THE FRONT RUBBER MAT! WILL NEED A NEW TOP WHEN ROOF REPAIRS ARE DONE. GLASS IS GOOD, AND ALL WINDOWS THAT ROLL DOWN CAN AND FUNCTION WELL. I HAVE A SPARE HOOD, FRONT BUMPER, NOS HEADER PANEL, T-LITES, AND A FEW SMALLS TO INCLUDE WITH THE CAR. THIS CAR WAS ORIGINALLY A GOLD CAR, THE ONLY ONE PAINTED GOLD IN 71, AND WAS USED ON THE 72 PROMO AD FACING AWAY FROM PIC.
ONLY THING MECHANICALLY WRONG IS THE CENTER DRIVESHAFT BEARING WILL NEED REPLACING SOON. I GREASED THE HELL OUT OF IT AND IT WILL BE FINE FOR MONTHS. PART IS AVAILABLE THROUGH A DRIVESHAFT REBUILDER. DRIVES/STOPS NO ISSUES. GOOD ACCELERATION TOO. I THINK IT HAS A 3.23 OPEN REAREND.
I ONLY USE THE CAR A FEW TIMES A YEAR, SO I AM SEEING WHAT INTEREST THERE IS. THIS IS NOT A BEAT DOWN HEARSE. JUST A RUN DOWN FROM AGE HEARSE, LOL. IT IS QUITE RARE SO I FEEL I AM RESONABLE IN MY ASKING PRICE. I HAVE THE COMPLETE MAINT. LOGS/RECPTS, MANUALS, SOME LITERATURE TO INCLUDE WITH THE DEAL. IT'S NOT COSTING ME ANYTHING REALLY TO KEEP AROUND, BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT GET RESTORED, BECUASE I WILL NEVER DO IT.RIGHT NOW I USE IT TO STORE NICE INTERIOR PANELS I REMOVE FROM CARS I PARTED OUT :) .
