Description for Pontiac Grand Prix 1966
1966 Grand Prix, 389, Tri Power, 51k original miles, restored, automatic, PS, PB, PW, A/C, AM radio, rear speaker, door edge guards, tinted glass, custom seat belts, Safeguard Speedometer, custom wheel discs, and front floor mats. Very rare and unique Strato Bench seat with headrests and reclining passenger seat in cloth and vinyl material. All options original to car. Repainted in original Mission Beige with Bronze interior. The car is completely restored chassis, suspension, rear axle, transmission, engine, cooling system, brakes, etc. The car has no rust or any evidence of having rust. Floor pans, wheel wells, and trunk are amazing. All seams are tight and clean. The underside is as nice as the top side. Interior looks show room new. No cracks in steering wheel or dash. Upholstery is clean with no rips or tears. All chrome and wood grain appears as new. Original 389 rebuilt .030 over, hardened valve seats and a performance cam. A Tri Power rebuilt to 1966 specs by Mike Wasson is not original to the car but I do have the original restored AFB and intake. 1966 cast 091 heads have replaced the original 092 heads, same valve size but bigger chambers to run lower compression for pump gas. I have 3 folders with thousands of dollars in receipts to document the restoration. I also have the PHS paperwork. Car has about 550 miles since the restoration and drives great.
Things left to do. Needs new A/C lines and R12 recharge. All other A/C components have been replaced/restored. The original lines and clamps are still on the car for show. Some NOS parts come with car.
