You are bidding on a 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport convertible which was restored by a previous owner. I bought the car pretty much as you see it about 8 years ago. I have driven it a good bit. so it is pretty well sorted and shows typical wear. The previous owner like the 70 GTO look so he installed the new hood. rear spoiler. and exhaust splitters during his restoration. He also installed 2 new qtr panels. and one new fender. The doors. trunk lid. nbsp;and trunk floor are original. He also indicated he rebuilt the engine and transmission. The engine has a bigger cam and sounds awesome through the Flowmaster exhaust. It is the original "matching numbers" 350 engine. I never checked the vin on the transmission. The transmission seeps a little fluid when it sits for a while. The chrome has all ben replaced. and so has most of the weather-stripping. The top is power and it was also replaced during the restoration. The interior has new seat covers. door panels and carpet. It was an original "A/C" car but the compressor and brackets are missing. The wheels have been restored and the tires are in good shape. The paint is Dupont chromabase with clearcoat. It is a nice job. but not perfect. It shines nicely. It has gotten a few nicks from driving. It has a few light spots where maybe it was buffed too much. I would call it "driver quality". not show quality. The car runs and drives great and I would not be afraid to drive it across the country. It is a great car to cruise in and have fun.
