Description for Pontiac Firebird 1988
1988 FIREBIRD FORMULA CONVERTIBLE #69 OF 104 BUILT!!
First off, I'm listing this car for my good friend. He is a busy man so any questions will be answered by me.
Up for sale is a rare 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula Convertible, 1 of 104 1988 convertibles ordered from GM by Pontiac dealerships! Pontiac did not manufacture a convertible Firebird in 1988, therefore Pontiac contracted with ASC based in Southern California to convert 104 Firebird Formula T-top cars into full convertible models to besent to Pontiac dealerships. This particular car is #69 of the 104 converted by ASC in 1988.
The car was originally purchased in Southern California from Jack Head Pontiac. I'm the second owner, purchasing it in Northern California in 1990 where it has been garage kept since. The car has extremely low, easy miles of 45,850 and is rarely driven and only on nice days. I'm the only person to have driven this vehicle since the day I purchased it.
Body: Original Triple Black color combo. The car has had one show quality re-paint in the original black. The car is laser straight with the exception of two minor flaws. The car has ground affects kit and has never been in any accidents, has a clean car fax report and is PHS documented. Zero, NO rust!
Engine: Option (LB9) 5.0 TPI, (MXO) 700r4, (G80) 3.23 posi rear-end, (WS6) special suspension and (WS1) performance package. Engine runs great with only 45,850 original miles. Transmission shifts like new and all drivetrainis in excellent condition with no issues and no leaks.
Wheels: Polished factory rims.
Interior: Factory black cloth interioris in overall excellent condition. There are a few minor flaws, small wear spot on driver's front seat from entering and exiting the car. 4 way manual adjust driver's seat, fold down rear seat, power windows, door locks, remote trunk opener, cruise control, tilt column, remote driver mirror, courtesy light package. Also has the rally gauge and tach package.
Convertible Top: Top is in excellent condition with one small wear spot in the cloth located above driver's side window.
Glass: Factory glass, factory tinted in excellent condition. All windows operate as they should.
Stereo: Professionally installed quality alarm and stereo system with 10 disc CD changer locatedin the trunk. Stereo remote located in center console. The stereo sounds excellent.
Recent Work Done: New radiator side tanks, new exhaust from the catalytic converter back. Air conditioning has been converted to R134 and the system completely upgraded with new compressor, clutch and accumulator, blows ice cold.
Overall this is an amazing car and a rare opportunity to own a true collectors car. For all you Pontiac collectors out there check this one out, they do not come up for sale often and hardly if ever in this condition! The car is stunning and gets a ton of attention.
Please only contact us if you are serious. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer; however we will be glad to help in anyway we can. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early.
A non-refundable of $1000.00 is due immediately at the end of this auction. The car will not leave its current location until all funds are paid in full and cleared the bank.
