1964 Catalina Ventura
Up for your consideration is a exceptional unmolested 1964 Catalina Coupe. This car is totally rust free and an original western car. With the exception of some very minor repair work on the right quarter and deck lid, while the quarter and deck lid are in white primer, the rest of the car sports it's original paint. There was a minor kink in the right quarter panel that has been professionally straightened. No rust repaired. Car has never been rusted or rust repaired. We define rust as rot, soft spots, bubbles, anything you could stick a screw driver through. There is superficial surface rust throughout the car.
Front and rear bumpers will need re chromed to be nice.
Some of the aluminum side moldings will need worked
Car is a 100% complete.
The original interior in this car is amazing. Original carpet is even nice. Door panels are slightly warped. Headliner good. Dash is spectacular. No cracks in the dash pad. There is a crack in the steering wheel. Vinyl seats are also in good shape. There is a area on the drivers side seat where a piece of piping is starting to work loose. Very minor
The engine compartment is so intact Totally unmolested. The 389 2 barrel engine runs great. Single exhaust.The car goes down the road at highway speeds, smooth, with no problem. New brakes. Car drives great !
The tires are pretty much worn and will need replaced.
There is paperwork (receipts, etc) to support actual mileage, but nothing that absolutely proves actual miles. However, miles are believed to be actual. Car appears to have been stored indoors most of it's existence.
The car also comes with the owners manual and the Pontiac Ident-O-Plate
This car goes off at NO RESERVE ! And has been described to the best of my knowledge. I am a car enthusiast who knows old cars. And I can tell you this Catalina is very special. This car can be bought back to it's original glory for not a whole lot. I've just got too many cars and not enough life.
