Description for Pontiac Trans Am 1978
WE DO NOT NEED ANY THIRD PARTY HELP SELLING THIS VEHICLE SO PLEASE DON'T OFFER-THANK YOU.I bought this car in 1981 or 1982 for a 21 year old live-in girlfriend at the time who had to have it.This car is an unmolested survivor with only two deviations from absolute stock condition, the rear window has been tinted dark and the girlfriend insisted the bird was removed from the hood so I took the hood off brought it to a body shop and they stripped the paint and re-painted the hood only, the hood paint has since started to peel off.The rest of this black paint is factory original and it shows dings, scratches, scuffing and chipping from normal wear and tear that a 39 year old car can have. She had me sell this car in 1984 so I could buy her a pick-up truck to pull her horse trailer around,an older relative bought it from me and has had it since 1984,he was the third owner,he parked it in his garage in 1994,never drove it again and has recently passed. It feels like we're selling a member of the family,we do not need to sell but are hoping there is someone who would get it running again and enjoy it.Sorry for the poor pictures,it is in the garage as we live in a hilly area, the ground drops off outside the garage and there is no way for us to push it back up the hill once its out. This car was sold new in St Louis,Mo.,appears to have been undercoated when new as there is no rust anywhere on this thing and it was driven to California not long after original purchase and been here since then. This is not a 100 point show car or a new car,it is a 39 year old car with 90,843 miles and looks pretty good, the three adult owners just used it as a daily driver and took good care of it through the years.Engine and transmission have never been out and the car ran fine when parked.A NON-REFUNDABLE $500.00 deposit will be required at time of purchase and the balance will be accepted in cash only at the time of pick up,pick up and all transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
