In May, 1969 Ronald Burlingame, of Jamestown NY walked into the showroom of Bill Rapp Pontiac in Syracuse NY with a very specific order! He ordered a fully optioned 350HP GTO Convertible! Mr. Burlingame wanted a muscle car that his wife would approve of! High horse 350hp engine, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, power top, cruise control, power top...among other things! This was a big purchase for old Ron, after just completing Law School and a new wife in tow, Ron took excellent care of his beloved GTO. This car was garage kept, never driven in foul weather, washed weekly, etc.
Mr Burlingame would never sell his beloved GTO, and kept it in top shape! The car only has had one repaint on a all original body panel car. In 2009 the GTO got a new top. Aside from all regular and almost fanatical maintenance, with over 45 years of service records, this cars service records look more like a murder case file rather than service records!
This GTO has a beautiful and almost pristine original interior. The paint is very nice for a older high quality repaint, and shows very well! Everything works on this car, and it is about the easiest muscle car to drive that I have ever driven! If it weren't for the power this car makes, it'd be easy enough to drive for my 16 year old son. It does not smoke, shake, rattle, ect. It starts, stops, runs, and shifts like a new car! She does not leak a drop of anything. Perfect floors, trunk, pinch welds, ect.
