1968 Firebird 400 HO T-400 Project - 676 Made - Loaded with Options

This is a very rare 1968 Firebird. Only 676 Firebirds with the 400 HO engine and automatic transmission were built in 1968. This is probably one of the most highly optioned ones of the 676. I have pictured the Pontiac Historical paperwork that documents the production numbers and the options.
I'll start with the drivetrain. The engine is a 1976 400 and the car has not run for many years. I don't know if the Turbo 400 that is in the car is the original one and if someone out there could tell me how to confirm it I will be glad to try. Same goes for the rear.
This is a very solid car with respect to the body but it does need typical repair for these cars including a complete floor pan and trunk pan. The quarters have rust around the wheel well area. The hood is probably not usable. The right fender has a dent close to the headlight and may be repairable. The left fender is good. The top and around the front and rear window channels is very nice. The top is nice. The doors are good. The trunk lid is excellent. All of the glass is present. I have the inserts for the 400 hood.
The interior is all there except for the carpet. The dash pad is very nice. The front seats will need new covers. The deluxe door panels are nice. All of the original gauges as well as the original radio is intact. The console is good. Original shifter intact. The housing for the hood tach is there but the tach is missing. Most of the seatbelts are gone.
The car left the factory in Primavera Beige with a Black vinyl top and Black deluxe interior.
