Description for Pontiac Tempest 1962
This auction is for a 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans which I have owned for almost 10 years. This is not a numbers matching car although it appears stock. Here is the good and the bad. Everything works on the car except for the turn signal can be temperamental but I have nos parts that will be included to fix this problem. The rear main seal leaks. The water pump just started leaking today when I pulled it out off the garage to photograph it.The top is in good condition but yellowed. The paint is in good condition but the right front fender and hood do not match as I replaced the right front fender with a NOS fender and the hood was replaced. All of the trim is in good to excellent condition. Floor boards of the car appeared to be solid and original when I replaced the carpet. The interior is original and in good condition (except for the carpet which is reproduction). This car runs and drives well but I would recommend it be trailered as it has not been driven much in recent years (probably less than 30 miles in the last 5 years). Included in the sale are some extra parts including an extra drive shaft (with bearings) and a transaxle along with other misc. parts. The millage is unknown due to the fact that I replaced the speedometer so the listing shows what is on the odometer at this point. This car does not have power steering and it is a manual top. As can be seen in the photos this is a decent car it is not a show car. Upon close inspection you can see it has had body work (not perfect but nice). This car is being sold as is and there are no warranties expressed or implied. Please feel free to contact me if any more information is needed. There is a $500.00 deposit required within 24 hours via pay pal and the balance to be paid within 5 days. The car will not be released till funds clear and must be picked up within 2 weeks of auctions end unless other arrangements are made with me before hand. I never end an auction early with a Buy It Now offer.
