This is Chromulusion Paint and changes colors depending on the light. mostly Purple and Teal Green. Car was painted and interior done about 8 year ago. car has always been garaged. not the type of car you want to leave outside. This is a show and go car. If you don't like all the attention this car attracts. it's not the car for you. Dual Holley 650 carbs that are freshly rebuilt and high rise Weiland Manifold. Have Paperwork on engine and trans install. it was professionally done and was nearly $13. 00. 00 within the past month. Car only has a couple hundred miles since mechanical refresh and has been driven very conservatively by 56 year old man. still breaking in motor so have gone easy on it. Loads of work put into this car the past year. On Feb-04-15 at 18:54:36 PST. seller added the following information:New Front Coil Springs. measured and ordered for the right stance. Conv. top is in good condition and was told by the former owner it is Mercedes Benz fabric material. On Feb-05-15 at 10:43:40 PST. seller added the following information:I have been asked by one bidder if that is a scratch on the Pass. side fender towards the front. it is a reflection. if you look at other photos you will not see this. I realized this after I posted the photo and it could not be changed. Also note. the convertible top is manual. the car was not built during the resto mod conversion 8 years ago with a power top. This is the way I bought the car and was not told this in the ebay auction I bought the car from 1 year ago. It has not been issue as the top is not that hard to lower and raise manually and here in Sunny Florida the top is mostly left in the down position. I do not drive the car if there is any chance of rain as the chromed engine would also get drenched. I would think though for somebody that has to have a power top its not that big a deal. a pump motor can be had for a couple hundred bucks. around this area though being snowbird capital of the world I have not been able to even get a estimate as the shops are so strung out with work. On Feb-08-15 at 08:00:39 PST. seller added the following information:Just had a question about the Chrome on the car. I would say the bumpers were definitely re-chromed and most other things with the exception of the Chrome strips around the quarter windows (why did they ever stop making those? (they are so cool they crank open great) but that chrome around those small windows shows very slight pitting. The car is 99 percent complete. I would say it could use around one step up in the Jets in the carbs to pull better at higher RPMS but still breaking in the brand new 502 so have not gone there much and I'm running just 32 degrees total advance to keep things conservative. It could be brought up to 36 degrees in my opinion once the carbs (just rebuilt) are dialed in just right and the break in is complete. The Engine was bought brand new from a Chevy dealer up in Tampa from the Repair shop who did the conversion. It's rated at 450HP. but I'd think with the dual quads maybe more. It's a GM Crate motor. Just installed a few weeks ago. The car previously had a 454 in it from the original build 8 years ago. On Feb-08-15 at 10:31:39 PST. seller added the following information:Another question asked and answered. I want to make clear this is a code 237 and not a vin code 242 original GTO. Everybody who see's it calls it a GTO. It is a beautiful car. I sometimes go out the garage and just keep staring at it. It gets amazing compliments and thumbs up driving down the road. What brings the price up on this Lemans is #1 all the Parts put into this car in the past year. #2 the custom work and #3 the paint job. The fact it is convertible helps out too. Rear quarters are fine and rust free. trunk is solid and rust free. slight rust on the pass. floor pan. nothing serious though. surface. I wanted to take pictures of the underside but did not get around to it. in general I was pretty impressed with the way the car looks underneath for it's age. Of course there are no oil leaks or anything like that. what you are dealing with hear is mostly new equipment. the alternator and water pump are chromed and fine. Power steering pump is fine. New brake booster and master cylinder. Not much to go wrong with this car. As I stated in the original description I have over $30. 00. 00 into the car including the car purchase in the past year. I hope to get most of that back.
