Got this car from a high school friend, he ordered the car new in 1977 from dyer motor company in Tennessee. The car was ordered black with maroon interior and no decals. At the time i was driving a 1977 brown trans am, of course that was a few years ago. So, my friend drove the car until around 1986 where it was parked for awhile around 1989. He decided too repaint the car and get it going again,where he promptly had a heart attack. ( he is okay though). So the car sit until 2014 where i got it. I always wanted a black trans am with a 4 speed, so we started too work. The first thing is we bought a 1979 trans am with a 4 speed and disc brake rear end. Which we installed in the car with a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Also, had the 400 engine, bored 30 over with flat top pistons, a 262 cam. It has had the heads shaved and new carb., and it ran real nice. So, we decided too go a little further, with new tires and a front end alignment, gas tank, shocks, mufflers, sound deadener and carpet, seat covers, head liner, and probably more that i have forgot about.
