Description for Pontiac GTO 1967
With its undeniably appealing exterior, this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible will have no shortage of admirers wherever it may roam and its promise of miles and miles of open air driving excitement is evident right away. This is a nice example of one of GM's best loved vintage muscle cars in good form while also carrying plenty of upgraded power under the hood to go along with all its visual magnetism. Deep blue paint takes the place of its original gold shade, providing such a good fit for this vintage Pontiac that it looks very much like it could have been its original color while offering a nice shine. Pinstriping runs the length of the sides, still featuring sharp edges. The array of trim this Pontiac wears is very much on point - take a look at the rocker panels with their GTO badges located just behind the front tires. In back, the taillights - with their distinctive eight lens configuration - sit between clean badging and the straight, unblemished bumper, with a pair of generously sized exhaust tips extending outward just below to provide a great look. A shift light sits in place of the usual tachometer inside the hood mounted enclosure, which itself is one very cool vintage styling cue conjured up by the folks at GM. The black convertible top powers into place for protection without complaint and sports a plastic window in back that shows none of the common discoloration from UV exposure. Beyond the doors, the black vinyl interior remains in factory configuration and is very clean, especially the seating in both front and back. The dash area sports a number of modifications, including an amply-sized tach that sits to the right of the factory gauges, ready to be connected, and a trio of additional aftermarket gauges just beneath the Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette stereo. All the original dash components also appear to be present and accounted for and the padding running across the top presents well. The center console sports a great looking B&M shifter. This is a substantially-sized muscle car, and you'll find plenty of real estate in front of the rear bench for your backseat passengers. The trunk area in back offers plenty of room for luggage or nearly anything else you might want to take along on your adventures. With the chrome valve covers on its sides blending perfectly with its silver-painted block and a 4-barrel Holley Demon carb sitting just underneath an open element air cleaner on top, the stroked 383 cubic inch V8 strikes a commanding presence while producing plenty of power that becomes evident as soon as you step on the gas pedal. It sits in a eye-catching engine compartment that features inner fenders painted to match the exterior and is lightly travelled and very much at the top of its game, pairing with a 3-speed automatic transmission to provide a very solid, smoothly functioning drivetrain. An electric fan is up front to help keep temperatures in check, while an MSD ignition box sits on one of the inner fenders to maximize sparking. With long tube headers leading back to a 3" dual exhaust, this classic produces a very appealing note as it cruises the asphalt on its 14" PMD wheels wrapped with Douglas All Season radials that were fairly recently added. This Pontiac classic is also armed with power steering and power brakes for easy navigating and low-effort stops. If you're in the market for a great looking vintage muscle car with plenty of power, you really need to check out this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible. Call today!
