my name is Jb Mitchell and I am selling / brokering a 1968 Pontiac firebird convertible 400 4speed hurstthe following information that will be listed was given to me by the previous owner + some documentation that I have and a little research of my ownthe car was built in Ohio and sold in California to its original owner where it remained roughly 90% of its life although through out that time there were 2 owners the second owner moved to Florida in 2008 and the car has only been out of the state of California since 10 or so years and still obtains its California documents....its original color was verdoro green with a ivory white top and parchment interiorthe PHS report states that the car is a 400-4spd-convertible with a ride and handling packagepower top power steering power disc brakes tilt steering wheel rally hood tach...
CONDITION...! first things first the car has all its parts chrome emblems lights interior ect.the car has had a low budget restoration about 8 or so years ago the paint still faces up good but seems to be lacquer or single stage.the overall interior is fully in tact and in very good shape.the top does go up and down and despite the faded back window and a pin hole or two it still looks pretty goodI would rate the wheels a 7 or an 8 and the tires look great but cannot make any long haul promises
the underside of this car is in pretty solid condition despite some surface rust...in my inspection while the car was on the lift I only found a hole or two in the driver side floor pan...the core support firewall and inner fenders are in good shape as well...the trunk is very clean and has been finished in a textured chassis black not my choice or cup of tea but it does look pretty good and yes it is solid...
the car has been sitting since a solid 4 or 5 years started every now and then but never drivenmy job as the seller was to take the car to my mechanic and have it fully inspected then serviced and repaired witch has since been done...
flushed radiator new hoses new belts new plugs new wires new cap and rotor new battery and terminals fresh oil and filter fresh brake fluid and antifreezethe car is now starting running and driving the engine sounds great but the drivability still needs some tlc due to old tires and brakes P.S the car does stop...
