Description for Pontiac Firebird 1970

Documented Ground Up Restored Trans Am 400ci RAIII V8 Automatic Pwr Steering ///
Combining a hot Ram Air III 400 with razor-sharp aesthetics and an exclusive, column-shift 3-speed, this legendary Trans Am is sure to provide miles of turnkey bliss! A meticulously restored F-Body that's one of only 1,339 Ram Air III/3-speed Trans Ams produced for the 1970 model year, this first class Firebird wears correct Polar White 2-stage that's set off by aggressive blue war paint. Under the hood, 400 cubic inches of proven Pontiac power hides a 1970-specific 9799914 casting number behind a Ram Air III-spec "YZ" assembly stamp and a matching 110059 partial VIN. Behind that hot mill, an original Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed wears a correct "70-PQ" assembly tag opposite a matching 110059 partial VIN. That transmission twists power to a tough 12-bolt axle that's finished with a posi-traction differential and 3.55 gears. Below that stellar drivetrain, a rebuilt Trans Am suspension, which includes correct power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs, complements standard issue power front disc and rear drum brakes. And everything rolls on a quartet of attractive Rally IIs, which twist F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs. Freshly installed during the car's detailed restoration, correct Sandalwood vinyl is clean and crisp, easily defying this Trans Am's age. Tasteful bucket seats boast meticulously rehabbed Ssnake-Oyl belts. In front of those seats, a Just Dashes dash cases fresh factory telemetry, rebuilt by Bob's Speedometer Service, above correct Delco audio. And the driver spins a black Formula Steering Wheel around a simple chrome shifter. When the sun is warm and the road is beckoning, this Trans Am is exactly the kind of classic that'll steal the day!
