Description for Pontiac Firebird 1981
This 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Restomod has more of everything you want. That means more luster from a bright/custom exterior and more comfort from the A/C interior. But the best upgrade more power with the 450+ horsepower stroker V8 under the hood and the five-speed that gives you more gears to harness the mega muscle. You could get your Trans Am in blue in 1981, but the shine you see here really lets you know it's something different. It has a that added luster of a modern professional application. It radiates in the sunlight and draws added attention to the sporty pieces, like wide ground effects in front of the wheel wells, integrated rear spoiler, fender vents, and shaker hood. And the iconic hood bird was even cleared over in this special paint package. It all looks so good today because this was part of an 18-month and nearly $18k restoration, and there's less than 1,600 miles on the build. You can tell they upgraded this coupe by the way the modern 18-inch Ridler alloys give it some added aggression. You may also notice something a bit different with this one. It's a 1981 coupe, but it has the deeply channeled front end from a few years prior. And you still have that cool taillight package built to look like a single piece. So the body is subtly upgraded to arguably give you the best the 2nd gen T/As had to offer.
The black interior looks great against the exterior blue. The carpeting, door panels, headliner, and the high-back bucket seats all have a nice dark presentation from a quality investment. And you'll like the added comfort that comes from upgrades like cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, Dynamat insulation, and the AM/FM/CD/XM stereo with USB and Bluetooth. This T/A is a true driver's machine. So it combines classic elements, like Pontiac's sports steering wheel with great upgrades like the Hurst floor shifter and full AutoMeter Carbon Fiber gauge package.
When you lift the hood, your first impression may just be about a cool/classic Pontiac V8. After all, it still has the iconic shaker on top...but underneath is a far newer and wickeder animal. This now has a Blueprint 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. It's built for power with aluminum heads, full roller setup, four-bolt main, one-piece rear seal, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. You also have the right supporting components, like a Painless wiring harness and a large aluminum radiator w/electric fans. The full package is dyno tuned for a whopping 452 horsepower. The ceramic coated long tube headers with Flowmaster FX mufflers make sure that this one announces its power superiority the moment it fires up. And to make sure you are in full control of the power and thunder this T/A brings, you have a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transamination with hydraulic clutch and Lakewood bellhousing. This feeds a strong Detroit Locker rear end. There's also subframe connectors, sway bars front & rear, power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, Continental ExtremeContact ZR-rated tries. So you get to confidently control this enhanced Pontiac.
The motor is so recent that it still even has a year left on its warranty! So you know you're looking at something that is fresh, powerful, stunning, and all-around awesome. Call today!!!
