1977 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM Y82 Special Edition. Black and Gold BANDIT! Interesting and Cool..Last six digits of Vin# are 197715. Definitely seems special!! 84,232 actual miles. Title states this is actual mileage. Original numbers matching, Factory born with everything.Pontiac Historical Services documented. ALL Original body panels. Original radiator support with number stamp and production date. Purchased new from Tucker Pontiac dealership in Wytheville, Virginia. Brought to New Mexico,USA in 1979 by a military family that relocated here then and are still here now. I visited them with the car around thanksgiving holiday. I recently(10/2022) purchased(rescued) this Bird out of a large private car collection where it sat caged up with a cover on it. All original numbers matching! Original engine, transmission, rear end and even the carburetor. Original Cylinder heads and original intake manifold. Original Hurst T-Tops with original storage bag. Original space-saver spare tire with original jack and tools. Original snowflake wheels have never been painted or restored. Has Factory original center caps and lug nuts.I would suggest new tires as these are more than 5 years old. Current tire size is 255/60 R15 which fit perfect with no rubbing issues. This BANDIT was restored in 2013. I recently spoke to the gentleman that owned and restored the car during this time period. He is also still here in New Mexico. Paint is very nice and looks fantastic polished up. Probably a few chips,nicks,dings or scratches and touch-ups here and there.NO big dents or body damage. Bumpers are nice and in shape. All body lamp lens are nice. Taillamps are nice. All pinstripes were professionally done by hand with a brush. “Bandit” hand painted with brush on drivers door has a nice touch to it. You can see NO amateur striped this piece of art. Doors open/shut nice. Doors do NOT sag. Nice panel gaps all around. Hood and trunk also shut nice.Trunk release in glove box works as well. Power windows/locks work. I replaced power window switch wiring pigtail with connector at window switch in console. All lights, reverse light, turn signals, dash lights,horns, speedometer work. Replaced ALL light bulbs with new correct bulbs, even dash cluster bulbs are new.New premium shocks front and rear. Greased all steering and suspension components which all looked very good. Drives and tracks straight. Soft and Smooth going down the road. Flowmaster true dual exhaust tone sounds amazing. Original A/C compressor/lines and brackets are not on vehicle but I have them and they are included. Battery is newer Interstate brand, never had to jump, boost or charge. Always starts right up strong.  Interior is extremely nice, fantastic condition and comfortable. Steering wheel is nice. Horn button nice. . Everything in the interior I would say was all new when car restored from carpet to headliner all new. Console is nice original. Driver and passenger seatbelts are faded slightly. Has all seatbelts. Original numbers matching engine runs amazing. Fresh oil change with Joe Gibbs DRIVEN HR5 10-40W w/ Napa GOLD filter. New Napa GOLD air filter. New ac delco spark plugs, new spark plug wires and wire separators.I replaced driver side exhaust manifold gasket w/ Remflex gasket along with new correct bolts and washers and torqued to factory specs.  While I was in there I replaced both rubber engine isolator mounts and all bolts were torqued to factory spec. Also replaced cold air intake duct components with new parts. New power steering pump and pulley. Flushed power steering system. New belts as well(power steering and alternator). New 180 degree thermostat, new gasket and new upper/ radiator hoses and clamps. Heater core was by-passed before my ownership. I did replace by-pass hoses, clamps and by-pass hose reducer are new. Cooling system was also flushed. Fresh pre-diluted coolant added. New correct coolant overflow tank installed along with new correct radiator cap(16lbs. Vented cap). New and correct stainless steel fuel line w/ foam sleeve from fuel pump to carb installed, purchased from Inline Tube. Fuel pump rubber lines also new. Original carburetor was cleaned and new fuel filter installed. Fuel filter housing on carb even torqued to spec.Fuel gauge works and is accurate. Rear end was drained, cleaned, resealed and filled with fluid and Posi-trac additive. Brake system works flawlessly. New brake check valve installed along with hose to brake booster. New brake fluid after flush then pressure bled brake system. Original transmission shifts great. Replaced speedometer gear and gear housing bulle, new bullet housing seal and speedo cable seal along with fresh transmission fluid at correct level with no leaks. New speedo cable. Absolutely NO fluid leaks. It is currently registered and insured with a clean and clear New Mexico,USA state title in my name. All photos are recent and were taken on December 10th, 2022. Photos taken by me with a cell phone. ALL recent maintenance has been performed by ME with love, care, patience And attention to detail. I could have new tires put on wheels at local Discount Tire within 2days of ordering. I would not take vehicle there,just the wheels. I will install wheels and hand torque to spec. I would buy tires myself but I figure the new owner would want to put their favorite brand tire on. With new tires you could fly in and it drive home with no issues or I can accommodate and assist with most transport requests. I can suggest a wonderful,clean and careful auto transport guy that I have contracted in the recent past.Call with any questions/requests or to schedule inspection.
