1956 Pontiac Safari/Nomad wagon Barn Find sored since 1984 Project/Restoration!

Very Rare 56 Pontiac Safari/Nomad 2dr sport wagon. stored since 1984. very similar to 1955 1956 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. only around 300 of these 56 Safaris are still out there according to the internet. Original Catalina Blue and White with matching interior. Which is a very sharp color combination. V8 316 4bbl carb. speedometer shows 41. 00 miles maybe correct but i cant swear to it. nbsp; engine runs off gas can. tank is solid but needs to be cleaned because of old gas! X style frame is very solid. Needs rockers and front floor pans. rear floors and spare tire well appear solid. body mounts are very decent. passenger door glass is cracked. the rest of the glass is good. door glasses go up and down fine. sliding side windows work fine. Original front and rear seats. Power steering and Power brakes. Wonderbar radio. Rare under seat heater system. has the acc. bumper guards. also the lighted hood ornament. the passenger headlight is inside the car. automatic trans fluid is very clean. original wheels and hubcaps. tires are really old bias ply whitewalls but hold air! steers and rolls easy for transport. spare tire is not there. Safari door emblems and tailgate letters are not there. exhaust manifolds are on it but the rest of the exhaust is no good. there is a dual exhaust system inside the car that was purchased a long time ago. fenders and doors appear repairable. but do need work. nbsp; lower rear gate cables are no good. nbsp; Wagons are very Hot right now! Restore or Rat Rod it and cruise the way it is. metal repair panels are available from many different sources. nbsp; rocker panels are the same as 55 56 57 Chevrolet so i am told which you can find here on EBAY easily. Needs interior redone. but is all there. i also have the keys. car needs complete restoration ! My plan was to make it solid and roadworthy and use it to go to car shows and swap meets to haul parts that i buy. nbsp; maybe throw a set of old school mag wheels and tires on it. nbsp; I just have too many other projects at this time. Dare to be different this car will get more attention than a restored one. When was the last time you saw a Safari Wagon cruising around. the car is in a fenced in yard so its safe till you can pick it up when you can arrange shipping. nbsp; item must be paid within 7 days in full!
