Description for Porsche 911 1977

9117212561 is a numbers matching car. It left the factory as a 911 S Targa. Shortly after being sold, t wasprofessionallyconverted to a steel fender flared Cabriolet (no tail) by the Aase Brothers at their famed shop in Anaheim, A. The Aase Brothers were famous throughout the 70's and 80's racing Porsche cars in the Camel GT/IMSA Series. The car changed hands in the 80's to fellow Racer Chuck Kendall. The car resided at the Kendall Racing Garage in Glendale, s part of the Kendall Collection. After several years the car changed hands to Chuck's son, time Road Racing Champion and Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee, ommy Kendall. The car remained at the Kendall garage, lways sparingly driven. The car next changed hands to a local mutual friend in Manhattan Beach, ho had it painted Arctic Silver. Still sparingly driven, then acquired the car in early 2004. While not a factory Cabriolet with the M491 Wide Body Option ($12K in 1987), he fact that it was created a decade before the actual car it resembles is a testament to the the vision of the first owners.
At 38 years old, nd under 55K miles, he car is a time capsule. There is an immediate presence whether standing still or driving. With it's known ownership history, his Southern California car always starts a conversation. I want the car to find a good home.
The car is driven once a quarter and will require an oil cooler before long distances are to betraveled.
