Description for Porsche 944 1990

Selling 1990 Porsche944S2. I believe I am the third owner (maybe 4th). It comes with the most complete service history I’ve seen. The receipts I have total over $33K. I’ve purchased the car from a PCA member. who at age 83 could no long drive the car. I believe he owned the car for nearly 9 years and invested a considerable amount of money in maintaining the car. He purchased the car from a long time lady friend. who was a Doctor in DC. From the records I have. it appears she’owned the car the longest (I believe she was the original owner). During her ownership. a small fortune has been invested in keeping the car in good running condition. Of course. I have the records to back it up. I’ve owned the car forjust about 2 years and simply have no time to drive it. These cars have to be driven and with two little kids finding time for the hobby can be difficult. The car is Black with black leather interior. It currently has 89xxx original miles. Below I've listed factory options for the car. Code 220 Locking differential454 Automatic speed control533 Alarm system573 Air Conditioner593 Antilock brake system650 Sunroof946 Leather/leatherette seats ExteriorI have been told that the car is completely original. Looking at the car. I believe that it is but that's’s only my opinion. With that said. the car is 24 years old and it’s black so there are some small dings and scratches etc. The paint cleans up very nicely. There’s a peculiar dent in the front left fender near the front bumper. the previous owner told me that it was there when he got the car. Front bumper does have some scratches that have been touched up. Rear hatch is in good working condition. no leaks. new struts. Wheels are in nice shape but do have some curb rash. nothing mayor but it must be disclosed. In my opinion. for a car that’s never been painted (so I’ve been told) it looks pretty good. InteriorThe leather looks very good. there are no tears nor rips. Driver side power seat is missing one of the adjustment controls. Passenger side power seat is working as it should. Top of the dashboard does have couple of cracks. one larger. two are much smaller. The clock works as intended so does the cruise control. radio is original and in good working order. The carpet is in very good condition with the exception of the driver side. under the floor mat. there’s a small wear area. The windshield has a small chip on the inside. I was told it was where the rear view mirror once was. It was treaded with some glue and the location of the rear view mirror was move a little lower. Power sunroof is in excellent working order. Both power windows work well. however. the passenger side is moving a little slower. All interior lights are working as they should. MechanicallyThe car has been very well maintained throughout its entire life. All the necessary services have been completed as suggested. The timing belt was changed at 75K miles/4 years ago. The clutch was replaced at around 65K miles. at the present time it feels very good and the car drives as it should. I have most of the service history (receipts) in a . pdf file and can forward it to any seriously interested party. The oil pressure gage can flicker at times (not often) when the car is idling. I was told that the oil pressure sending unit might be at fault. Again. this is not something that occurs all the time andthe car runs very well. The A/C does not blow cold air. the compressor does work. the air is not cold. The following work hasbeen completed within the last 12 months; Brand new tires. ichelin Pilot. less than 1K miles in themFour wheel alignmentBrand new rear shocks. ilsteinNew brake rotors (4) and brand new pads (work completed by me). parts purchased via Pelican parts websiteNew timing tensioner plastic pads. complete valve cover gasket kit (work completed by me) OEM parts purchased at the local dealershipNew spark plugs. new air filter. (work completed by me) OEM partsNew engine mounts. work completed by local shop. OEM parts purchased at local dealership Few other smaller bits. ew wipers. smaller pieces of trim etc. The tool kit and original air compressor come with the car. along with two sets of keys. manuals. What is missing is the sunroof bag. I’ve described my car as truthfully and honestly as I possibly can. It’s not unreasonable to say that few things have been missed but they should not be major issues. This is an honest car that can and should be driven without any issues. It presents itself very nicely and I would rate it at 7 to 8 on the scale 1-10. I invite anyone who’s really interested to see it in person. Should you have any questions please do let me know. I ask however. that you have serious interesting purchasing one of these cars.
