Description for Porsche 356 1957
Folks, have one 1957 Porsche 356 speedster convertible for sale, his is a reproduction of the original car, as built by Fiber Fab in the 1980's. It is based upon a modifiedVolkswagen beetle chassis from 1975. It isregistered as a 1975 Volkswagen Beetle. This is a very nice conversion, ll original build work for this car was done from start to finish by a VW/Porsche custom shop in New York, he car has 38,000 since theconversion. The engine and running gear have less miles on them.
I have owned it forabout 7 years and have replaced almost all major components during that time. When I originally purchased the car it had been in storage for 10 years and needed to be completely gone through and many components and rubber replaced. My hobby is restoring old German cars and I have a small collection.I drive this oneabout 800 miles per year and garage it in a dry, clean, ell ventilated, ooden floor, levated building. This car has a 1600cc engine, hat starts every time and runs perfectly, have upgraded to an alternator, 4 headlights, lectronicignitionand disk brakes. My intent was not to ever sell this car, ut life has other plans and now it is time for someone else to enjoy this machine.
Items that have been replaced since I have owned the car :
- Brake system
- Tires
- Fuel lines
- Transmission
- Engine
- Shocks
- Upgraded oil system
- Ignition system
- Carpet and interior components
- Front and rear lights
- Floor pans
- Porsche wheels
- Rally headlight grills
- Many other parts not listed
I expect a $500 paypal deposit within 48 hours of the auction end and full payment within 3 business days. The buyer can have up to 14 days to pick up the car, r arrange to have a shipper do so. This car has just gotten its annual Vermont state inspection and ready to drive! Winning buyer can pick the car up from me. I am willing to help with the loading when the shipper arrives. I have a dock height loading dock available as well. There is no title with this vehicle, n the State of Vermont titles are not required once a vehicle is 8 years or older. With the state issued bill of sale document, ou should have no problem getting it registered in your state. Please check local DMV to verify this, s I am not very familiar with the laws outside of VT, ertaining to titles, tc. I will provide the new owner with a legal bill of sale and copy of its current registration.
This car is being sold as i, here is with no warranty of any kind, r implied. I have owned, riven and worked on this car for the past 7 years, ot happy to see it go. It is an antique, as imperfections and some wear and tear. it's not perfect, r a show car, ut a nice clean and fun vintage driver. Please ask questions and come see the car, f you bid and win you are the buyer and will need to adhere to the terms. I have priced this car very fairly in hopes of finding someone who will appreciate it as much as I have.

One other thing to add, have had on rare occasions an issue with the rearrunning light working sporadically. Maybe a ground problem, ossibly loose wire, maybe the headlight switch. I am taking it to a shop to have them look at it. Works correctly 9 out 10 times.
