83 more photos of the car are available. Email me and I will send you the link (Ebay is not allowing me to include web address)The car is due a proper restoration but is solid and complete (Note: it is missing the front windshield. windshield seals. headrests and the front right signal lens). There is no evidence of a prior accident. An initial restoration began in 1997 but the car has since sat in storage for the last 17 years. Certificate of Authenticity included--Paint code: 88 (gold metallic); Optional equipment: US equipment. forged alloy wheels. Koni shocks. stabilizer bars. sport seats. wheel well moldings. comfort equipment. white fog lights. tinted glass all around. and Pirelli tires. The paint has been removed from the topside of the car. as well as all removable panels including the doors. front spoiler. front and rear fenders and engine lid. There was some rust in the usual locations along the inner and outer rocker panels. door panel and approximately the front six inches of the rear quarter panel. All rust was removed. Replica panels of these parts are included with the sale except for the front 6 inches of the rear quarter panel (see black panels in the photos). The front fenders show some rust on the lower edges near the rocker panels and around the fuel lid but repairable. The rear bumpers are in good condition but there is some rust on the inner portion of the left bumper panel requiring a patch. The hood. front spoiler and doors do not show any rust. Underneath. the floor pans and rear torsion areas appear to be original and quite solid. The rubber coating was not removed. The trunk area is in good condition. The car was converted to a single 12V battery and the battery boxes are still in good condition. The interior will require a new headliner and carpet set. The seats are in good condition but do not have the headrests. The steering wheel and heating controls. etc are in good condition. The side door handles are in good condition but the storage panels are in poor condition. The car ran well before the car began restoration. It was maintained by Storz (a well-respected Porsche mechanic in Denver). The motor. transmission and electrical system were not touched. However. the car has not been run since the initial restoration began and will need to be gone through. The car rolls. steers and stops.
