I bought this car a couple years ago with the intention to fully restore as a 356 Outlaw Coupe. I owned a similar car in the early 90's but had to sell to go to college, nd have always wanted another. I picked this car for this build because it already had a lot of the performance stuff that I wanted. This car was a early Outlaw build, ut had been taken apart and placed in storage in eastern Washington. The suspension had been upgraded to adjustable spring plates and performance suspension parts. Also the prior owner had the sourced a Late 63 1600 SC motor and had it fully rebuilt and ready to go back into it. When I looked up the serial number for the engine, ne web site said it was the first Euro SC engine. I was also told that the transmission was recently rebuilt as well. The chassis has relatively low miles on it, nly 88k miles. Some time over the years it was painted red over the original Metallic Silver that I wanted. The interior is pretty complete and the gauges look good. I really like the VDO clock on the passenger side, uch a cool touch in the 356's. So the car does need lots of work to be done to finish the dream, nd un-fortunately I do not have time to finish it. This car needs to go to someone that has the vision to build a really cool Vintage Porsche. The major negatives are the usual rust issues. The floor do have a few holes in them up near the bulkhead, ut are in savable condition, nd the rear seat pan is good, ith just surface rust. The bad is the longitudinal on both sides, hey need completely replaced. With the heater duct running up in them, hey are a problem on all 356's. If you have been around these cars this is not a big deal and Stoddard sells them, o they are available. The hood is in poor condition as well. I took pictures under the car the best I could on my jack so you can see all of this. The front pan and trunk does look pretty good. I do not think this car has had any accidents. The car is very complete, photographed all the parts, t does come with both front and rear bumpers as well. Great winter project, nd with the price of these cars going up every day, hould be a great investment. Please let me know if you have any questions.
