Description for Porsche 911 1970
This is a 1970 911S that was raced back in the mid 70's, n IMSA series 2.5 lite class Ibelieve, s I do not have the logbook. It had a front end wreck and was parked, or sure before 1986, have the PO purchasereceiptfrom 1986. It is a time warp race car from thatperiod. Not a barn find since it was parked outside mostly inArizona but also some time inCalifornia.but a find from that racing timeperiod. This is a really cool project that I started on by welding a good 912 nose on it, nd I had a good no rust hood and some not so good fenders I bolted on.But IrealizeI really have to many other projects and will pass it on.It could be a vintage race car or really hot street car or for the really ambitious a 911S again. There is a lot here and and a lot it needs. It will come with aSport seat, nd a passenger seat and it comes with a 1970 transmission (NoLimitedSlip D), eside all the other parts pictured. The car has some cool stuff like a 911R oil catch tank, full floating front rotors, SR or 930 hats with Lockheed 4 pistoncalipers on the front. The rearcalipersor Hurst airheart 4 piston. It has a RS style dual master cylinder pedal assy. all the glass, ncluding the frontwindshieldis the German Sekurit stuff, just to name a few things. The car has a State ofCalifornia issued vin# plate riveted to the door post (pictured) The Porschevin plate was long gone with the original nose by the time the PO got it in 1986. and the one by the smugglers box is partly missingfromtheinstallationof the fuel cell. I bought the car without a title and now have a bonded, lear title in my name. There is some rust through on foot wells of the front pans (pictured) There is some bubbling on the rockers (pictured) and of course the car has seen some hard racing life and repairsCheck out the pictures and let me answer any questions you may have.
