This is my 1987 Porsche 944S "Super" model with 106,200 original miles. The "S" model was the high-performance NA Porsche 944 which was only made for two years which used many parts from the 944 Turbo. This car had the 2.5L DOHC 16V engine making 190 HP, hich was 30 horsepower more than the base 944. This car also had numerous upgrades to the suspension and brakes from the 944 Turbo model, aking this a very high-performing car for the time. These cars were not made in large numbers and they are collectible.
I have just had over $2500 in service done to the car. Service work included replacing the transaxle, ew timing belt, ew cam chain tensioner guide, ew motor mounts, ew wheel bearings, ew spark plugs, ervicing the A/C system and new tires.
I have been careful to do any service that might be of concern to a future buyer. I wanted to make sure this was a totally reliable and dependable car in great shape. This car doesn't need any known work and it is mechanically sound and reliable.
This 944S runs and drives beautifully. There are zero known mechanical problems and the car is tight, uick and responsive. There are no rattles and the engine, ransmission, uspension, rakes, teering are all working properly with no issues. The air conditioning blows cold.
In addition to the standard options, his car has a power driver's seat, ntilock brakes, ruise control and the distinctive 16" 928-style "manhole cover" aluminum wheels.
The engine in this car revs to 6800 rpm which was the highest of any 944 model. This car is a blast to drive, ou'll want to rev it up between every shift. The brakes and suspension are substantially upgraded over the base-model 944 as well, nd you can feel it when you drive the car. This is one of the best-handling cars I've ever driven.
The interior is clean and in good condition. The seats, arpets and interior plastics are in good condition with no undue wear.
The exterior is clean, olid and very nice- the paint is original and in very good shape. There is no body rust.
This is a totally reliable, reat-driving fun and worry-free car. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car on a long drive anywhere.
Flaws? Three are small small dings and minor exterior flaws here and there, he sunroof doesn't open and there is no radio installed.
