Description for Porsche 911 1970

1970 Porsche 911T NUMBERS MATCHING!!! VIN number 9110122775...Engine number 6107770 ...Transmission 901 5 speed... "S" front brakes...15x7 Fuchs wheels

I have owned this car since September 2000 and bought it from what I believe was the second owner. Between the two of us, e have owned the car since 1993. A majority of the last 5 years it has been sitting in my shop awaiting my availability following a major job change and move. It was last registered in 2005. I believe the current odometer reading of 57,417 miles is accurate, n spite of the fact the current title states exceeds limits. Between myself and the prior owner approx 13,000 miles have been recorded since 1993.

When I started working on this car almost 10 years ago, intended this to be a fun project car customization without regard to maintaining originality in favor of fun factor. The only real steps taken to this point are a complete bare metal stripping with the windows removed (down to the rocker panels only, o inner panels or floor panels have been touched), nd the addition of fiberglass rear RSR and front ST flares and bumpers from American International Racing. Note that the bumpers are only temporarily installed for picture purposes, hereas the fenders are permanently attached with rivets and aerospace adhesive. I still have the original bumpers (see pics).

The stripping process revealed the faded Guards Red re-spray was sprayed over the factory 2424 burgundy. A complete paint and primer removal revealed a very much rust free and undamaged exterior with only the lower rocker panels needing replacement, hich was subsequently done. There were also minor rust issues around the windshield and rear windows with the flange, nd some minor door dings and headlight bucket rust issues that have yet to be addressed.

There are three areas of the floor pan that need rust issues resolved (see pics). I have since procured both front and rear half Restoration Design floor pans for replacement of needed sections and these come with the car. I have bought a number of parts for the rebuild, temized below and included in pictures as well. The car is currently in two shades of primer, ith gel coat only on the bumpers and drivers side flares. The door jams are not primed and they have some surface rust present. The rockers also have some surface rust present, s do the trunk and engine cover hinges. Car has been in a covered workshop since 2006.

The seats do need recovering, ut they are complete and functional. In fact about the only thing the car is lacking is the wipers, pare tire, riginal mirrors, orn button, nd original door panels. Stock seat belts and latch releases are still there and function and the seats slide and recline/fold forward.

The car ran well until it was parked to start the project. The engine turns over freely and I am sure the Zenith carbs are out of synch and the car had not started since 2009, ut I am certain it will start up and run once the starter is replaced (Bosch starter included) and the carbs are cleaned of old fuel. The fuel tank is emptyalready. Driving it would also require reattachment and check of all components that were removed during the tear down process are properly secured (bumpers, heels, ights, rake fluid replaced, tc). The transmission shifts pretty well with no grinding or clashes and I replaced the shift coupling to eliminate sloppiness about 500 miles before I stopped driving it.

To my knowledge, side from the addition of the flares, K&N air filter (original air box comes with the car), Permatune coil-less ignition system (original ignition also included), Personal steering wheel (original steering wheel also included less horn button), replacement fuel pump, he addition of aftermarket fuel filters (see photos), nd RS door panels, he car is original and 98% complete. It comes with an old partial A/C system in the smuggler's box as shown in the pics...No other parts of the A/C system are included except the tubes that run back to where the compressor would normally be.

Note that there are multiple parts listed above that are not attached to the car. They must be shipped separately from the car. Some will fit inside the car, owever because the door latches are removed, he doors can not be secured for shipment unless straps are used. Likewise the windshield and rear windows are not installed. So shipping the car in an open commercial car carrier will not be advisable. The car would need to be shipped in an enclosed truck to protect the interior from elements and theft. The parts will need to be shipped in separate boxes along with the car. I can package these parts for shipment, ut make sure you understand this before bidding. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.

Car is sold As Is. I have tried to describe this car accurately. If you see anything that raises questions please ask.

I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally.

No bids will be accepted from buyers with a feedback of less than 10.
