Description for Porsche 911 1976

I am offering for your consideration my almost new, 976 Porsche 911s. To my knowledge I am the third (3rd.) owner of the car. It started its life in the US in California, hen migrated to northern Virginia, hen south to me in Gretna, A. Although I really like this little car, have found another toy I wish to purchase. The little car is Guards Red, ith a beautiful Taninterior. The paint is near perfect. The seats have very recently been recovered with champagne custom fit covers. The seat padding is new. There are brand new (still in the box) matching floor mats with 911s stitched in (see photos). The original radio was replaced with a Blaupunkt digital am/fm/cd player. Air conditioning works, ut probably needs charging. It blows cold, ut not ice cold. All the lights work properly. The speedometer was very recently sent to Richmond Virginia for calibration and to have the gears in the trip odometer replaced. The speedometer and odometer worked, ut the trip odometer would not reset. It is now just right and the trip odometer works correctly and resets as it should. The engine was rebuilt with 140,000 +/- miles on it, hen the car was stored. The rebuild included/but not limited to: 2 chain tensioners, camshafts, exhaust valves, intake valves, il pump, 2 rocker arms, 2 rocker shafts, od bearing set, rankshaft seal, timing chains, 2 valve guides, 2 valve stem seals, lutch kit, ne piston and cylinder set and all necessary seals, askets, ew nuts & bolts. Total cost in excess of $12,000.00. The little car has recently had a 4-wheel alignment, aster, amber & toe reset. Lower ball joints replaced August, 014. Sway bar bushings were replaced September 2014.
Under the "bonnet", ront trunk, he carpet is new and attached properly, he fuse box is secure and in place as it should be. The fog lights work properly. All the gauges work and are accurate. All the instrumentation lights work, ven the light in the glove box. The engine runs smoothly and accelerates as it should. Remember, e are talking about 163 hp, o don't expect a cobra-like hole shot. However, t is a great cruising car and will run all day at interstate speeds. The little car drives like it is on rails. It does not overheat, ven while sitting in traffic. There are no oil leaks. It is red, hiny in excellent shape and a lot of FUN! There is NO RUST anywhere, oor panels, nderneath, nder the spare tire, n the door jams, owhere. Doors open and close like the bank vault. I have replaced a broken heater control wire, o now the heater/defrost works properly. The little car could easily be a show winner. It is a great cruising car. It is nice to ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway with your sweetie. It drives great, ounds good and looks fantastic. The tires are almost new Continentals with 85 - 90% of the tread remaining. The A/C has been refitted to the new refrigerant (see photos). I do not have the original owner's manual. I have a clear Virginia title. I am running antique Virginia tags on the car. The car has never been in any accidents. It was a California car before coming east. There are some extra parts that go with it; the red headlight rings and the air pump (smog) which meets California emission requirements. I have done my best to accurately describe the car truly. The car is sold as is, here it is and no warranty is neither expressed nor implied. You are welcome to see the car and drive it prior to purchase, r have your representative do the same. Purchaser will be responsible for shipping, ocal pickup only. I have a couple of Porsche books and a brand new custom fit car cover which I will throw in. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Bidding starts at $25,000.00 with no reserve.
