Up for auction. nbsp;1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. I bought this car in 1987 from a friend with 3000 miles on it. so it is basically a one owner car. The car has been in Florida since 1988. The car has never been in an accident and all paint is original. There is a small dent. shown in the pictures. on the rear deck lid. There are a couple of dings on the driver's side door and a few chips on the hood. other than these items the the paint is in pretty good shape for a 27 year old car. I have the original tool kit. jack. front hood carpeting and owners manual. The original air pump and collapsible spare tire (unused) are still in the front trunk. The wheels are original. Two years ago I replaced the front seats with GAHH factory spec leather in the correct color. The driver's side door panel has some wear (shown in the pictures). Replacement door panels and door handle leather are available at modest cost from GAHH. if you are so inclined. The steering wheel is original and has been recovered in factory spec leather. The power tops works. Top boot cover is factory original. The factory radio has been replaced. The a/c system does not work. Like all early 911s. the a/c system never worked very well. which is why it was not maintained. The transmission is perfect and the engine runs well. The engine leaks a quart of oil every 2 months. Last year I did a major ignition system overhaul. I replaced the computer. reference sensor. speed sensor. nbsp;temperature sensor. fuel pump. coil and distributor cap and rotor. This year I did a major brake overhaul replacing the rear calipers. front and rear rotors and brake pads. The front calipers ere replaced 3 years ago. The car is sold as is. In 1991 while the car was sitting in my driveway someone sliced the top and stole a radar detector. I filed an insurance claim and had the top replaced. The car has not been in an collision.
