Description for Porsche 911 1989
I have a lot of time, ffort and money into listing this car on ebay. Please be respectful of that and do not bid until you have read the entire description/terms of the auction and are certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. I have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining my auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the car picked up at my location without it being crated, et me know and I will add you to the list that allows you to bid.
This car looks like it has never been driven in any kind inclement weather. It is as clean as a whistle without a speck of rust anywhere. Literally. This has got to be one of the cleanest 1989 Porsches out there. The paint shines beautifully but it does have the little stone chips and some very minor scratches that you would expect from a car with 89,000 miles on it. These are all shown in excruciating detail in the 368 pictures below this description. Keep in mind that I have zoomed in on every little flaw so that you know exactly what you are buying. I guarantee you will have no surprises when you see the car for the first time in person. The car looks AMAZING in person, nd you don't see what you see in my pictures unless you get up close and look for it. The only one that really stands out when standing next to the car is the chip in the front that is roughly in between the Porsche emblem and the passenger side headlight. You cannot drive this car or park it anywhere without getting lots of attention. It's really that beautiful.
Whomever buys this car will be a very happy camper. I spent the better part of year finding her and walked away from four other cars after doing PPI's. Everything is in perfect working order except for the driver's side window switch which comes slightly out of joint when you actuate it. And the car is completely original except for the Kenwood stereo and the chrome headlight bezels which were on the car when I bought it. They never really bothered me; in fact they actually grew on me.
The guards red of this era is really something special. Originally, was dead set on getting a black one, nd then I saw guards red up close and in person and I never went back. I have treated this car as if I was going to keep it forever. Anything it needs, nytime, t gets. There is a pile of service records that comes with the car. My mechanic is a true curator of the Porsche brand. I have learned so much from him about the cars and he truly loves the car the way I do. I can't imagine not treating this car with an open checkbook. The folks that owned it before me were avid PCA members and obviously took very good car of her, nd I have done the same. The car gets sealed annually with the highest quality stuff on earth by one of the premier detail shops in the country (the owner is a bit of celebrity in the detail world). The interior is also fully treated on an annual basis. It has never seen a mechanical car wash.
In terms of running condition, here is not much to say other than it runs perfect. It's as clean as it can be. It doesn't leak a drop of oil, ver. And it's a dream to drive. I'm sad to see it go but it must... for the time being anyway. There are 368 pictures below detailing the condition of the car. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call me at 773-474-1744 or contact me through ebay.
