Description for Porsche 924 1982
I HAVE 2 PORSCHE 924/931 TURBO'SFOR SALE. Attention all true Porschecollectors here is a chance to own not one but two of Porsche's first turbo charged front engined road cars. This is a very important car in Porsche's history, nd may be the car that saved the company in the late 70's and early 80's. It was faster and lighter that the early 944. Some felt that it was the best handling Porsche for its time.J. Pasha, riting inExcellencemagazine, t the time, escribed the 924 as "the best handling Porsche in stock form".When the 924 turbo models came out,Car and Drivermagazine proclaimed the car "Fast...at Last!"The turbocharged engine allowed the 924's performance to come surprisingly close to that of the911SC (2,601 lb and 155 bhp) vs (2,740 lb and 172 bhp), hanks in part to a lightercurb weight.AllTurbo charged variants received many different parts, hroughout the drive train, rom an engine oil cooler, oni shocks, speed transmission,NACA ductin the hood and air intakes in the badge panel in the nose, larger vented disc brakes, nd when optioned with the M471 disc brake package and forged 16" wheels, he car was twice as expensive as a standard model. The 1982 924/931 Turbo is a three owner car that comes with all the original paper work, ervicereceipts, bill of sale and manuals, t is 100% complete, here are someperformanceupgrades like the Greddy blow off valve, ustom exhaust and drilled vented discs all around. The last owner said the car was running a year ago but has been sitting and wouldn't start. The motor turns freely by hand. There are Black leather Turbo seats which were a special order for an extra $1,865 in 1982, ut will require some recovering. all rubbermouldingand paint is fair, he hatch opens easily with the key and has good shocks that keep it up. There is only small bubbling of paint in spots not very much and some stone chipping as to be expected on a car of this age. 67,000km= 40,200Miles Serial# WP0AA0931CN150334
The 1981 924/931 Turbo was to be a parts car for the 1982 Turbo it is 98% complete, ndthe motor turns freely by hand. This car is stock with almost perfect leather and cloth front seats. There is some damaged to the right side rear seat cloth which will need replacing. This would be an easy fix and it would be a shame to take the car apart as it is such a rare beast. There is a spot wherepaint is peeling on the rear quarterbehindthe driver's door. Both cars have solid bodies with solid floors, ny rust is minimal as both cars have galvanized shells. 55,000km= 33,000Miles Serial# WP0AA093XBN150525
This is not the regular 924 or 924S, his is the very rare 931 Turbo only 876 came to America in 1982.
These cars are not running at the moment but both motors turn over freely by hand. They will have to be trailered. Both cars come with clean Ontario titles. Please ask any questions before bidding.
