1966 Porsche 912VIN 352366 Production Date: 02/21/1966 You are bidding on a 1966 Porsche 912 5 Gauge Coupe. This is an exceptional car with great restoration potential. The 912 was first produced in 1965 for the European market starting in June 1965. This car. produced in February 1966. is a very early car for the 1966 production year as it is one of the first 400 912 cars produced for the United States market. Per the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. the specifications are as follows: VIN: 352366 Production Completion Date: 02/21/1966 Engine Number: 745538 Transmission Number: 228275 (902/1 5 Speed) Exterior Paint Color: Silver Metallic/6206 Interior Paint Color: Black Leather /B Optional Equipment: 2 Pairs of Safety belts. Time Clock w/Outside Thermometer. Goodyear Tires As you can see from the pictures. the car is EXTREMELY SOLID. By looking at the pictures. you will see that there is little to no rust. the light buckets are in exceptional shape. and the trunk area is in awesome condition. The doors and rear deck lid are appropriately stamped 366 to match the original marking on the dash as you will see in the pictures. The car has had the floors and rockers removed which can be easily and inexpensively purchased through Restoration Design or Stoddard. Additionally. the wheels are date stamped to the car with a date of 1/66. The car is sold with many of the parts but not everything as some of the parts were missing when I originally purchased the car. Additionally. some of the smaller bits are not in the pictures as they are wrapped up and in boxes. Those parts will go with the car. An example of parts not pictured are the passenger side fender. gauges (excluding the Thermometer). a few emblems. front and rear glass. etc. I do not have the front turn signals. hood badge. rear turn signals. bumperettes and other misc. parts. The car is sold with the correct transmission per the COA. The engine sold with the car is a running. rebuilt 912 engine from a 1968 Porsche 912. It also includes the appropriate tin which has been sand blasted and repainted. The engine is not the number matching engine original to the car but is correct for the car and in exceptional condition. It will be tuned and ready for the road! Plug and Play! This is an exceptionally rust free car. Since the paint is removed and the car is ground to the metal. you can see how honest the car is.
