1967 911 Period Racecar With Log Books

Complete. running 1967 911 that has been a racecar at least back to the 70s. maybe earlier. The car carries some original logbooks with images that date back to 1976. I believe the 911 was raced before that however that history still needs to be researched. History so far: 53 major SCCA events at tracks such as Road Atlanta. Elkhart Lake. Indianapolis. Mid Ohio. Blackhawk. Charlotte and Nelson Ledges with 6 firsts. 18 podiums. and top 4 23 times in D Production. I originally purchased then sold this car 4 years ago for the original 1973 Heinzman fire system (not included) which I believe is a clue to the earlier history of the 911. A German Heinzman fire system would be rare in a car like this. I recently purchased the car back to restore for vintage racing then a stroke of good luck landed me a more significant car so this 67 has to go. The 911 is completely free of rust or rust repairs. is dead solid and still retains the original floor pan and suspension pan however it shows plenty of battle scars from decades of racing. The tub is straight but again has its scars. Flares. front fenders. bumpers and hood are old fiberglass. Hot 2. 0 built on blank mag case has low hours. Quaife LSD. Coil Overs. Fuel cell. etc. The car is an old war dog. It will need restoration or at least some work to be track worthy. I think this 911 is a great basis for a restored vintage racer back in the Scarab Blue color it was painted back in the day. There are not too many up at bats these days for an unrestored period 911 SWB racecar. This one is a worthy candidate for a new life in Vintage Racing. Please call or e-mail me with any questions.
