Description for Toyota Other 1979

You are bidding on a 1979 Toyota LandCruiser FJ40 with low miles. The body has 64105 miles on it. The LT1 V-8 engine from a 95 camaro has less than 5000 miles since installation (engine had just under 65000) and runs very strong. It has a new wiring harness and computer from Howell. It has ARB's that work great. a warn black diamond suspension (complete kit) and a 12000 lb Warn winch. It has passed California emissions once before. but with their ever increasing standards it is no longer passing and cannot be tagged in California. It has a clear title. My kids love it (my daughter named her Dusty) and it gets attention everywhere we go! It drives like a dream on the road and took me places off-road (that scared the crap out of me) without breaking a sweat! I am very sad to be parting with it and I will definitely miss the camping trips and off-road adventures with the family. The Cruiser isn't perfect. but with a little TLC it could be! It will need a new windshield. (can have one made for approx. $80. 00) front seats recovered. apx. $300. 00 from CCOT. There is some minor rust. primarily around the roof (shown in photos). NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF!!You will never be wanting for more power in this rig! The LT1 is super strong and can spin the 33" tires in the first three gears! The power steering works awesome as do the power disc brakes that are factory Toyota. The T-case is out of a 82' BJ40. way stronger. will need E-brake adapter. The paint color is the stock Olive Brown. Also comes with 1 pint of left over paint for color matching. The tires have over 60% tread on them and are 33x12. 5x15 Goodyear MTRs (front right only has about 25% tread). and they preform beautifully off and on the road. The Cruiser runs down the freeway at 70 mph perfect. And comes with a spare 33x12. 5x15 tire(not the same wheel). I also have a spare 33x12. 5x15 tire (not Goodyear). The gears are 3. 73. The turn signals. high beams. low beams. break lights. hazards. gauges. marker lights and all 4 orginal seat belts work as should (I'm also including a brand new 5-point harness seat belt). It gets very decent fuel mileage on the highway (approx 20mpg). Only the highest quality parts were used. OEM Toyota. OEM GM or from Marks Adaptors. ($1500. 00 complete kit) That uses factory cast iron Toyota transmission and bellhousing with 12 inch HD GM clutch. The front and rear ARB Lockers (which cost over $2700. 00 installed) works perfect and makes this rig unstoppable. The 12000 lb. winch is a bonus for those hard to get to spots (or out of). Most of all just to help your friends out of their sticky spots. All of the factory wiring is clean and intact. if you wanted to reinstall the 6-cyl. Sorry do not have original engine. It was scrapped long ago. I have the factory keys for ignition and doors. This 1979 Toyota LandCruiser is being sold as is. All sales are final.
