Clean Background Check The Porsche 911 Turbo (or 930) market has really caught the attention of collectors. It seems to be the next “big” trend and discussed in all of the industry publications. More and more enthusiasts are beginning to see not only what wonderful cars these are to drive. but how important they are to the history of the 911. 930s were built between 1975 and 1989. The last year was a shorter year production as Porsche was already introducing the new 964 body. As a result. only a handful of last-year 930s were delivered to the U. S. (approximately 639 coupes). Plus. it was the only year 930 to get the all-new G50/50 5-speed gearbox. These two factors are making the 1989 Porsche Turbos one of the most desirable. This Porsche was built at the end of 1988 and sold new by Schneider & Nelson Porsche of Long Branch. New Jersey. The Turbos came very well equipped with standard features from the factory. This one had the following additional options: Seat heating (left and right)Locking differential (40%)Shorter gearshift leverTwin back shelf speakers/amplifier systemSunroof We believe this Porsche to be a 3-owner car. The first owner had the car for about 10-years and put 26. 00 miles on it. The 2nd owner had the car for 13-years and sold it in 2012 with 42. 00 miles. The current owner bought the car in August of 2012. We have all the service records of the last 2-owners and stamps in the maintenance book for the first owner. Since this owner purchased this car. he invested nearly $15. 00 making sure the car was in tiptop condition for use on vintage touring events. It was never driven in inclement weather and properly serviced and stored before each winter. The paint is all-original except for the front left fender (partially painted). It was verified with a paint meter. We don’t know why the front left fender had paintwork. but it was inspected and there were no signs of accident damage. The paintwork was done in the care of the first owner and might have even been done upon delivery new based on its age. The rest of the paint is in very good condition. There are a few small blemishes in the paint. which you can see in the photos. The original silver paint is experiencing some clear coat checking which is very common for German silver metallic paint from this era. It is only noticeable upon closer inspection in bright sunlight. Remember. it’s only original once. The factory Fuchs are in excellent condition with no signs of curb rash. The interior is immaculate. as you would expect from a low-mileage example. The seats have minor signs of wear with no cracking or tears. The dash is perfect as is the headliner. The door panels are in excellent condition with none of the typical sagging you see on the armrests. The carpet is original and perfect as well. All the gauges. clock. radio. electric locks. and air conditioning work properly. The best part about this Turbo is the way it drives. It feels like a new car. The steering is very responsive and tight. The acceleration is smooth. The brakes and handling are spot on. This would be a wonderful car to take on long trips. California registration and smog is current through September of 2015. This Turbo comes with all the owners manuals. spare tire. jack. air compressor. tool kit. original sales brochure. and an extra key.
