Description for Porsche 911 1970

An original Southern California 911, rdered in early 1970 from a dealership in Malibu only to be driven by the original owner from Beverly Hills for over forty years. Not only is this a Beverly Hills car but it has a unique history. By that I mean the owner was a direct family member of the screen actors Mel Ferrer and Katherine Hepburn. The car was cared for and loved by the owner as if it were a loved one. I can attest to this as I have known the owner for years. Unfortunately, hile parked on a street side a car clipped the back driver quarter and door while going around a corner and the non classic auto insurer deemed the title a total loss as they were not interested finessing a 1970 Porsche repair. At that point the owner, ow in her 70s decided to part with the car for the first time since 1970. I took over the task assuring her I would do my best to make certain it would be done correctly. The engine had just had 6000 dollars of refurbishing, 2000 miles before the incident. Since then I've added about a 1000 more. The engine runs strong. In fact while my mechanic who is from Germany, ecently serviced the car said it drives really nice. I further pressed him how it feels; engine, transmission and clutch... His response was really good, eally nice, t doesn't drive like and older car....

A brief history since I purchased the car in 2012. The car maintains all original sheet metal. It was stripped down to the bare metal, rimed and painted by a shop in Los Angeles that has been in business since 1981. I was pleased to see it
